We have been in Ciovo for the third year in a row and the Mali Raj has a magical attraction for us. Food at star/hat level at reasonable prices, an absolute recommendation for anyone who likes to eat very well in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. A compliment also to the staff: friendly, attentive and competent!

We were eating twice in this restaurant when we were in Okrug(Ciovo) there. Both days we were served top, staff very friendly and the food was really first class!!! Very nicely served and served quickly. Probably after about 15 minutes the main course was already served.. Appetizers came very quickly and tasted very good, the fish soup was awesome! But also the mussels a poem..... To make it short the many positive reviews are really deserved!!!

We have been here for 2 weeks and the food here is fantastically good and the service wonderful. Book a table and you're sure to get a seat😊 We've eaten Tuna w/sesame seeds as a starter, Steak, Veal rack etc. All is well and good people and accessories👏

I have a really good experience with this restaurant after regular visits over many years, but tonight is the first time I am disappointed both with the service and the fish meal
The attendance of the waiter was minimal, sitting outside talking with his colleagues, and presenting the bill at the table before we had ended the meal. The St. Peters fish was dry and tasteless (coming from the freezer?), but my wife's beefsteak was excellent as usual.
Hopefully this is not a New trend of the restaurant but only a result of a Sunday evening when the boss is not watching his employees.

Just great!
We were here two years ago and now for the second day in a row. The service is friendly, fast and very accommodating. The food is incredibly delicious and more than meets its price-performance ratio. Everyone who vacations here MUST definitely eat here.

We had a great meal with our group of 10 friends here. We were helped very well by the waitress who was super friendly and helpful. We had a very good evening and was a very nice atmosphere. We stayed in Split and ate several restaurants this week and this restaurant was the tastiest and had the best service. Definitely recommended and would definitely eat here more often.

We went there for our last night with high hopes. We even made a reservation, but when we arrived our table wasn't ready, so we had to wait (if we hadn't had any reservations then this wouldn't have been an issue). The food that I ordered (Surf N Turf) was okay but not that good regarding the price. On the other hand what my partner ordered (Tuna steak Dalmatian style) was truly horrible. The tomato sauce that was served with the tuna tasted like it had a full pack of dry basil (not good) also the side for the dish was absolutely no match for the fish. After all this when I asked for the check we waited more than 15 minutes, also that day they couldn't make the card payment work (really in 2021?). It was a really sad experience :(

We’re really sorry that You have had such a bad experience at our restaurant. You have to consider that due to the huge amount of demand for the table although you had a reservation, there were other people having that table before You, and staff needs to clean it and prepare it for another reservation, so if you waited for the table max 5 minutes we’re really sorry that you do not have any considerations about that. Another thing, before You reserved the table You asked us if we accept card payments, and You were precisely noted that we were having connection issues and that it happens from time to time, which we cannot do nothing about it and have to rely on bank technical assistance. Therefore, You came prepared to the restaurant on that point. Third thing, If you had such a bad experience with the food, You feel free to complain about it to the waitress that served you, when she came twice to ask You if everything was alright. However, the plates were talking for themselves at the end of the dinner, and Your words were different than in Your review given to us, to be precise “Perfect, delicious”. Lastly, what we can agree is that You did wait 15 minutes for the bill, but that is because the Cuban Cigars that you ordered were not correctly priced in the computer and we had to change it manually. You also said (really in 2021) ? Compared to the other restaurants in the area we’re the only one accepting card payments and our extended offer of dishes, drinks and not to mention giving you also an offer of Cuban Cigars with variety of prestige cigars in our humidor makes us quite unique. However, we’re truly sad that we could not meet Your expectations, although we would more appreciate a more honest review based on facts and not based on Your poor mood. This restaurant truly is the best in Ciavo! We’ve been visiting Croatia for many years and even though we’ve tried many other restaurants, we keep getting drawn back to Mali Raj! The menu is extensive and each plate of food is tasty and nicely presented…from their soup to their steak (which by the way, is the only time I eat steak, as it’s so melt in the mouth!) The restaurant has ‘water mist’ spray, which is quite unique and very welcoming with the heat! The owners are extremely friendly and attentive and have obviously worked very hard to open Mali Raj 2, a brand new, modern and classy restaurant, now open at the bottom of the road and the food is equally as good. The menu choice here is varied too, designed around ‘meat grills’, burgers, steaks etc.. all very reasonably priced! Staff here are very friendly too and are always looking out for what they can do to help. Try either, Mali Raj or Mali Raj 2…I can 100% guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!!!

Not our first visit so we knew how spectacular the food was. Especially the garlic bread. The food arrived quickly and our server was highly attentive.

We got a tip to eat at Mali Raj. For us the best of the Island connected to trogir. The best diners we get for the whole trogir area, we conclude afterwards. We started with the recommended creamy fishsoup. It was very tastefull, many years not eaten this so excellent,
Never eat fresh tuna, so soft and tasty, a dream on your tongue and we came back for the charteauBriand after a few days.
This restaurant was excellent in all. And we did many restaurants in and around Amsterdam.
The services are very friendly and professional, Ask Astro, the Owner, he can talk hours about the food. But his partner, she is the real king, She rules the kitchen, and create the masterpieces, balances the taste and texture so delicious, She deserves as a masterchef, a michelin star. We need to come back next year. :-)

I wrote a positive review of this place 4 years ago, but visiting this year was disappointing. First of all, a lot of menu items were not available - it was the end of the season but still, they choose to stay open so I didn't expect them to be out of so many things. We were not told about the missing items until it was time to order and of course everything we wanted wasn't available. The waiter seemed very grumpy, largely ignored us and put plates on the table with barely a word (the other guy who I think is the owner was on the other hand very nice). Food was just 'OK'. Maybe this was a one-off but it was nothing like my previous visits.

Restaurant is out form main path, but went there based on reviews from trip advisor. I have ordered tuna in sesame with soy sauce , mixed grill and mojito to drink. Tuna was wonderful. I will gladly recommend it. Mixed grill was mediocre at best. Meat was dry and I have found a piece of wire in one of the meat parts. I also drunk better mojito. My friends ordered pizza and said they had better. Other than tuna I hear risotto with sea food is very good. In my personal opinion there are better restaurants.
