Based on a Lonely Planet recommendation and the outstanding tripadvisor reviews, we walked down from Malfa town to have lunch at Maracaibo. Really, it is just a shack near the beach with okay food. Our panini were dry and forgettable. Our salad was lackluster, though...we saw other patrons with more appetizing looking salads. If we had been lounging on the beach all day already it would have been a good option, but definitely not worth seeking out.More
Lovely tuna salad with bread. Gorgeous setting looking out at the sea. The paninis looked huge and the food was reasonably priced compared to other places. Only downside really was that there was no toilet.
(Also no milk for a white coffee).
Amazing place with a stunning view! Absolutely must see when you’re at Salina! You can take an ‘aperitivo’ or something to eat like sandwiches etc. Friendly people and you can rent mattresses because there are a lot of stones on the beach.
Lovely spot to sit back and relax with a beer or tasty panini to break up the time on the beach. They serve a few different things including some good looking salads, soft drinks, icecreams etc.
They also rent the umbrellas and lilos for the...beach which we found essential.
Reasonable prices, good food and nice people.More
We came here for lunch 6 days out of 7. It would even be worth visiting if you weren't interested in the beach. Great value for money, very tasty food and the lady who runs it is very friendly. And outstanding views.
