I went here on New Year's Eve. Very exited for the experience and the menu(pre fixed) sounded delicious. Atmosphere was fun and relaxed. Staff very friendly. The food was generally good, some dishes was excellent but the lobster(the "main") for example was nothing special. The wine selection was poor, we actually couldn't drink some of the wine that was selected... More

We came here twice on our trip. The staff is great, the food is excellent. We tried 3 different entrees, 1 starter, and 3 different desserts on two trips. Everything was great. The staff also have a good knowledge of wines, and their selection is unique and high quality. I could have come here every night on my trip and... More

We were an international crowd, but all enjoyed the meal. Service was great and the athmosphere was really relax, maybe because it wasn't that busy (?). We had "Swedish caviar -löjrom" on toast as a starter and meat and fries as main. Although simple, the food was quite tasty and everyone was happy. OK winelist.

We had dinner here for our kick-off. Food and Service were excellent. A relaxed place with unpretentious dishes. I would love eating here again!!

Nothing awful to say about this lovely and cosy place with a extraordinary food theme. The personal was warm and helpful. The meat fondue was really tasty and the salad and the chips were the best combination for a perfect dinner. The decoration inside the restaurant is really what makes you feel like home. High recommended!

So, our expectation was built up when we discovered that the chef was a judge on the Swedish version of Masterchef - however, he is unfortunately clearly no Marcus Wareing or Michel Roux Jr. As ever for Are, the prices are high, but the effort put in was fairly reasonable. Having said that the 'foam' on some of the dishes... More

We have just returned from eating at the Fjallpuben on our last night of our honeymoon. We have eaten good food in many of the other restaurants in Are but we are glad to say that the food was by far the best in town. The atmosphere was lovely, on a quiet night in Are the restaurant was busy, all... More

Had a great meal here. Very fine cooking and an amazing homely atmosphere. The food is a bit pricey but it's worth it!

Slarvsylta for starters. Really good. The Fjällröding was one of the best fish dishes I've had ever. Friendly staff. Recommended.

But it's not the best in town. The food was well presented but fell down in a couple of areas. The rillettes were exceedingly greasy. The thick layer of fat on the top was immediately off putting and because it was not hard it was difficult to scrape off. The game burgers were tasty but way too underdone - mine... More
