We read all the positive reviews & took a long drive to this restaurant, which is well appointed & modern although right opposite a kids playground & restaurant has half window so we could hear loads of screaming youngsters throughout our meal!! Wouldn't have been...as bad had the food been good as I saw how good the burgers looked I thought I'd try one The chips were limp & nowhere near as many as others pictured on positive reviews, Salad was limp just lettuce leaves nothing else honestly one of the worst burgers I've ever had! My with had a chicken dish & again wasn't at all well presented and she said tasted bland & her chips were limp as well! We left very dissapointed. The staff who were nice asked if everything was ok but you feel awkward making a fuss at the time as its not their fault & little they can do.More

Great food and great look and feel to the restaurant The food is on a different level to other restaurants on the island with little twists of flavour that make it exceptional

We drove from Costa Calma to try this place which we had been recommended. Sadly, we found it just an average one, not bad, but no particular experience at all. The fish soup was too salty to both of us, the garlic bread was a...bit too oily and what's worse, unnecessarily fried 😱, the beetroot carpaccio was correct, but again covered with too much vinegar to me personally.. I think our expectations are not exagerated generaly, we just appreciate good, fresh food which may be simple but well done. The staff is definitely nice and welcoming but I'd not get back there because of the good taste which we were missing. Then, please turn on the lights there! We were hardly able to see what was on our plates :)More

The fish is a must to experience here! It's fresh, delicious octopus and the grilled mix for 4. The wine list could be improved. The service is discret and good.

The first time we were in "La Falua" was by chance. We were immediately impressed by the quality of the cooking and the research behind the plates we took. We thought it was maybe a lucky coincidence. The day after we decided to check it...out and so we planned to go in La Lajita again for that. Second time we went in "La Falua" we voluntarily took something else from the menu. Well..we found out that there was nothing casual: the attention to details and the quality of the cooking was simply a constant! *We really recommend this restaurant to anybody just passing by Lajita!!!* And even more, if anybody knows how to suggest/notify this place to any official restaurant-guide, we will be happy to initiate the process. We really think this chef/cuisine deserves a recognition. Enjoy your meal ✨More

Amazing food in this very small village, so less touristic than all the others in the surroundings. We waited a little bit because it was still closed at 12:15 and none answering to the phone but it was totally worth it. Good food, completely different...from the standard. We had octopus with cauliflower, squid with ratatouille and seafood tagliatelle. I hope this place can survive to the corona crisis. Totally recommended.More

We had two meals here during our long weekend stay in the village. For lunch, we just chose a couple of starters. My first choice of salmorejo soup wasn't available, unfortunately. The seafood soup was tasty, if somewhat messy. My husband's goat stew was tasty...too but somewhat inappropriate for a starter. There was very little stew topping a large mound of carbohydrate (he wasn't sure quite what it was -- maybe rice). Of course, all the sauce soaked into this. We shared a nice bottle of Cava. For the evening meal, we started by sharing a beetroot carpaccio. It was really very good. The main dish for both of us was pork cheeks, something we eat a lot of on the island. I was very happy with it, although I'm afraid it was copious and I really didn't do it justice. My husband was less keen. The current tendency in "posh" restaurants is for sweetness in everything, and for him that doesn't work at all. The carrot purée was sweet and the Guinness sauce, which was spread liberally over everything, was also quite sweet. Service was okay, if a little "distant". Staff were polite rather than welcoming. Covid measures were underwhelming, with no gel outside the loos (it was available at the entrance) and tables getting very cursory cleaning between diners.More
