I used to go to La Crema pretty often with my friend when we lived in St. Albert. She has a gluten allergy so this is one of the few places that she actually enjoyed going to because there was so much to choose from. We would normally have an espresso beverage and some sort of dessert. One time we... More

I have lived in St. Albert my entire life, born and raised. So I remember when La Crema first opened. Back then it was a good and cozy place to go. The owner brought in local musical talent on the weekends, in fact I even got one of my friends to play there once. Then the flood happened and the... More

Husband and I decided to try out La Crema for lunch, mostly due to a gift certificate that had been given to us. We presented the gift certificate and were told that it is not valid because the place is under new ownership since August and they won't honour the gift cards that were sold through the previous owner, which... Have dined at this location twice in the last month, the second time was hopefully going to be an improvement over the first. There has likely been a change of management as it was a beautiful weekend afternoon and only three people at the restaurant.....it soon became apparent why. My wife and I split one of their deli sandwiches however... More

My bf has been raving about this place for the last couple of weeks so I decided to check it out this past Sunday. The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff were genuinely happy and great to deal with. There was tons to choose from on the menu. The fact that they have so many choices for gluten free food is... More

I last ate here about a year ago when the ownership changed. My friend and I ordered omelets. They were actually inedible. They were very greasy and had no flavor. I took the time to email the manager after and never did hear back. The waits here are always long. The coffee is okay and the baked goods are alright,... More

I've been going there for a couple of months. A lot of people I know told me not to go because the new management is out of sync and not professional! Well it is sort of true to be honest. Sometimes the drinks are good and sometimes....meh!

A couple months ago my husband and I went in for some coffees. While waiting we were looking at the desert display cases and noticed a mouldy pie. We pointed it out to the staff before leaving. The owner didn't respond to my follow-up email. Disappointed and concerned about food safety there.

Today i went to La Crema because it has espressos and figured it may be a good place to go as we just moved to St Albert and would like to find a nice place to go. So we got there at approx 12:45. We came in and the place had a few people inside which is always a good... More

La Crema is a neat little cafe located in downtown St. Albert. They have gluten free options, local beer, and plenty of options for food including breakfast. My favorite part of the cafe is their patio in the summer.

Description
One of my favourite places in St. Albert; great coffee, breakfast sandwiches, quiches, pizzas, desserts, etc.But what's special is that mucf of the food is gluten free. I am gluten intolerant and can get pizza, sandwiches and desserts here - what a treat. Also has live music on Friday nights.
