Of course, the weather is something you have to be lucky with (and we were), but dining outside at the Dagvisser's terrace with view on the Scheveningen harbour is a wonderful experience at a fair price. We had the bi-weekly changing menu and were surprised by its quality and nicely made up plates. It was like dining in a Michelin... More

Went to the dagvisser to meet up with friends. Restaurant, location and menu all looked very promising. They took our order just past 2 pm and we left close to 6 pm. The service was almost non existing leaving one of the party asking whether we were supposed to bring sandwiches between the courses. When we commented that after a... More

Restaurant Dagvisser, a Zeeland family business established in the fishing port of Scheveningen since 1966, prepares its dishes using daily fresh fish from the fish auction from around the corner. Use your hands to eat lobster, sip the fresh oyster, cooked mussels, a perfectly fried plaice or fresh made sushi in combination with a glass of chilled white wine. My... More

We were celebrating a birthday dinner of my partner's mother at this restaurant and it was a perfect place for that! The restaurant is nice and cosy, with plenty tables indoor and a specious terrace in front. The food was very tasty and served in a very elegant way. Our waiter was very friendly and funny! We hope to visit... More

I came with friends who visited me for a weekend. We were looking for a good fish restaurant. We liked the location and also the interior was nice. It took us 3 hours to have a 3 course meal there because the kitchen was really slow. Even after asking if we could have the dessert right away we had to... More

Friendly uncomplicated service. The menus are like newspapers which amused the children. Good location on the harbour and a good destination for a walk. The fish and oysters were top quality as expected from the good reviews. We went for lunch and the bill for 6 was under eur 100. Superb value which was an unexpected bonus. Highly recommended.

As always, great experience. Catch of the day (stingray) was very good, even though was fried. Kids asked for sushi rolls, not impressive, wasn't our main anyway. Quite good thick fish soup. Good service, always quite good choice on the menu.

We ate outside on the patio (faces southwest and the sun was bright at 7:30 p.m.) and had a nice view of the boats bobbing up and down in the water. The menu was printed like a newspaper and had English translations for the food items. We had two of the 'specials' : Brown bread and cauliflower pasta and the... More

A lovely terrace in the evening sun overlooking the harbor of Scheveningen. We opted for the catch of the day and today that was grilled salmon. With that we ordered salad and chips. It was all very tasty. When it became to cold outside, it was no problem to finish the diner inside. We enjoyed a delicious dessert, a 'chocolate... More

We had a nice family dinner at de Dagvisser on a sunny evening. We sat outside, with a wonderful view of the nearby marina. I had the three course seafood menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant specializes in seafood and there are lots of different options to try. Everything we tried was excellent. This is definitely a great place... More
