Some times in your trip, you don't know where to lunch or dinner. Every place looks wells, but later it was not so well. Here you have a small place , clean, good people, good service and good food. All you need to be good . Cheap place, and good wines. Enough en route.

We are exhausted peregrinos on the Camino looking for authentic fare and not necessarily concerned about a pilgrims price. We waited until 8:30 on a Monday night because we had read reviews on their Cocido Maragato. Unfortunately, we were informed after we were seated that there was no Cocido Maragato available. Disappointed, we ordered pulpo as an appetizer and two... More

An excellent cocido maragato with very attentive service during the whole meal. We would definitely come back. At 19,50 euros + drinks seems reasonably priced for the quality of the food you're going to have. I would advise taking your time to fully enjoy a cocido maragato. This is no quick meal and you'll probably won't have dinner that night.... More

My girlfriend and myself use to have lunch in this family restaurant every time we visit Astorga. The food is excellent and the service is really friendly. I really recommend to have lunch in this restaurant.

La Peseta was a welcome. Enid as we were unsure which restaurants would be open on a Monday evening. Although it was very quiet we were made very welcome as a party of ten. We went for the traditional sharing option for starters and had a variety from octopus to veals thyroid gland (that was a first for me). Mains... More

Again the look us from head to toe, and kindly ask us if we want a... More

This place is an amazing place, not just because spanish spirit, but because you are living a new experience in food, hotel and amenities over roman ruins. It's located just one block from ruins; founded :1871, yes, in Plaza de San Bartolome,3,Astorga, Spain. Walking relaxed, try this place. Looking for a hotel; take a look at it. In five or... More

If you are in the area, try the Maragato stew. You won't be disappointed but take my advice, be hungry!

In the middle of Castilla y Leon, in the area of Astorga, we found a gem in a small and beautiful restaurant. Run by the same family for the 140 years, La Peseta is a great all around restaurant. Order anything, and you will be surprise in the best way.
