We have visited this restaurant many times while visiting my mother in-law in Coamo. It is not a fancy restaurant but the sunset over the water is beautiful. My mother in-law had the red snapper, my wife and brother in-law had a lobster salad and I had Can Can Pork chop which was delicious. We have had the same server... More

I have to say that I was extremely disappointed. The tables were dirty. I ordered the chicken stuffed with seafood and it carried two shrimps and everything else was octopus yet I was being charged for lobster and conch. I noticed my chicken didn't taste right and as soon as I opened it, I noticed it wasn't cooked it was... More

The place is in a residencial location in the marina. It is not fancy but the beer was cold and the food was good. I had a fried snapper, wich was very tender on the inside and crispy outside. My husband had the fish stuffed mofongo in garlic sauce, it was very flavorful and moist. The service was nice but... More

We drove the whole "Ruta Gastronomica" in Salinas and ended up at La Barca ("The Dinghy") sort of by chance. Truly a great view (although, I am not sure if you have as good a view if you are not sitting right up by the water), and a great variety of fresh seafood on the menu, which is bilingual unlike... I say feed the Tarpon mainly because the food isn't palatable to most people. The waitress was pleasant and efficient. Sadly, that is where the positive ends. The food is both overcooked and dry. Worst mofongo I've ever eaten. It resembled a very bad potpie. Wife & I would not stop there again for anything more than bottled beer. Which... More

Was there on a Thursday afternoon. Business was slow, plenty of personal and the place needs better cleaning and the waiter could be more professional. A smile when serving could be a big plus but no. Food is average. The location is great, great view, great potential. With good supervision this could be fantastic.

My first time come here to restaurant in May after Mother's Day. The food was good but the view was great!! I took picture the most memorable and beautiful sunset ever! If you're a photographer like taking sunset pic here it is the best place to take pic of the Caribbean sunsets.

Stopped off here for a quick bite to eat - outdoor terrace / seating area fronts right onto the water so can't get a better location looking straight out on the Marina and bay. Food was good, typical Puerto Rican - they seem to want to serve fish with sauce not matter what! Overall definitely good mid-level restaurant, value for... More

In my first and only visit on a Sunday afternoon at la Barca Rest. we had to ask where to sit and more than ten minutes later we had to ask someone to bring us menus and serve us only to have the waiters decide which one would have to address our table. After the order was taken we waited... More

I'm a Puerto Rico native who has been eating at La Barca for decades. My parents even ate there when they were young. But times have changed. We recently ate there on a Friday, and expected the place to be filled. It was nearly empty. The service is a bit on the average side, and the although the staff was... More
