It was our first visit & won't be our last. The staff were excellent, very helpful & pleasant. The food was very good, you could order different sized portions & the large fish was enormous. The homemade fruit pies & cakes were more than delicious. We sat in the conservatory which was nice. There were 8 of us & everyone... More

Saw the hoardings advertising the best chippy in the world. So, up for the challange as I'd tried a few in my time I thought I'd give them a go. Well........ I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of their chips. For a small town in the middle of nowhere they are a class act. Put them next... More

On arriving at the chippy they have a small car park at the side and a massive car park behind so no problems parking... More

If you want superb fish and chips this place is for you. Lovely home made pies and cakes also - so good we took some to sample at home. The dining room is not very posh, but its all about the food not the surroundings. If you intend to go at peak times make sure you book a table first.

The food and the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, they came round with fresh tea and coffee and asking if everyone was okay. The fish and chips were great along with the freshly made chicken nugget and scallop/dab. Also, the vanilla slice and carrot cake were delicious. Will definitely be returning soon!

Description
This is not an ordinary chip shop. There is a lovely resturant or an old bus to dine in. In summer eat outside or by the canal.Childrens menu and wide range of meat pies and puddings available. The vanilla slices are great as wellaethe fruit pies All home made. All avilable with tea/coffee, bread and butter. Just go in the chp shop, order and the meal is brought to you at your table. The service is excellent. It is an experience to dine in the bus usually accompanied by 60s/70s music in the backgrund. The bus can be hired for private parties. The shop is open Mon. and Tues till 3.30pm and Wed.Thurs.and Fri. till 8pm. Not open Sat and Sun. It really is an experience (very good one), and well worth a visit. The place is spotless. We have been going many years now and there .are many regulars. I would recommend the chippy for a very enjoyable experience.
