First visit and will certainly not be the last. Excellent food, service and staff. A gem of a restaurant easily one of the best meals I have ever had. Five people with five different meals all excellent massive thumbs up.

Well deserves all the good reviews. This restaurant is set within the hotel which is an old mill. The room was delightful with great ambience and proudly displaying it's history - lively but not noisy. The service was very friendly and efficient, and the waiter must have been very fit as we sat up on the mezzanine! The food was... More

This is a very good restaurant which is part of Le Moulin De Camandoule Hotel. We have dined here a few times in the past some years ago when we have stayed with friends in Fayence. It is a wonderful setting for dining outside on the Terrace but although we were here in June the weather was very mixed and... More

Second year running I have visited this restaurant for my birthday and I was slightly disappointed this time. Starter was lovely, main course ok and dessert poor. Service could have been more attentive - we spent over 100€ on a bottle of wine and had to pour it ourselves.

L'Escourtin has a variety of menus to choose from, generally with a choice of 2 dishes per course. We ate off the Printemps menu, which was good, and we particularly enjoyed the interesting vegetable and goats cheese starter. The atmosphere inside was cosy - perfect for a cold evening. There is a picturesque terrace outside which would be lovely for... More

This restaurant belongs to the hotel which I previously have reviewed. Again it is in the the old olive mill and all the workings are in situ which creates a great atmosphere. However the food is absolutely excellent we ate here twice during or stay and everything from the menus and the chef to the waiting staff delivered an outstanding... More

I think my review largely echoes the positive comments made by many previous posters that have eaten at l'Escourtin. Firstly, location: this restaurant is literally behind the hotel Moulin de la Camandoule which is located between Fayence and Seillons. Departing Fayence it’s less than 1km on the left. There are small signs but they are not that easy to spot... More

This old olive mill is a beautiful setting both in winter and summer for its diners. The food is very refined but also can be so simple. They cater to the vegetarians and the vegans in our family with inventive dishes that are hard to find in other restaurants. The cheeseboard is enormous and the camembert soaked in Calvados is... We only visited the restaurant and didn't stay over. Set in a restored mill with both indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor tables with a view of a pretty hillside village. The food is beautiful and plentiful and the staff are charming. Sophisticated and a great venue for a special occasion. Not cheap (mid range set menu circa 50 EUROs)... More

You cannot see it from the road so you have to know the place in advance. This place is very charming (the mill is renovated like it was 100 years ago), the food is really tasty (probably the best lamb I have tried) and the waiters are friendly and funny... do not miss the cheese table with a huge selection.
