Wow what a great place. Situated between Elim and Struisbaai. The food is device and the wine. If you want to get your meal on time especially if you are hungry, place your order an hour in advance especially if you are a big group....More

We went for lunch and had the platter and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. It was a well presented platter with plenty of choice and the wine was excellent. It was busy but handled the demand well and we'll go back again and try the...More

Take a day trip to Elim from Arniston, Bredasdorp of Struisbaai and you will find this gem in the middel of nowhere. Good wine, good food and good craft beer.

Hi Helen F, thank you so much for the detailed review of the Black Oystercatcher. And for the kind words. You're right; the salads do come straight from the garden (and so may take a little longer to prepare). But we're glad you enjoyed them,...More

Best burgers ever, chicken ciabatta - beyond words. Well worth the trip. Delightful setting. Excellent service. Rounded off with their estate wine. This has been the best meal experience in the Overberg. I can equate this meal on a par with some the better restaurants...More

A special place to go for lunch with friends. Out in the countryside and yet sophisticated and very appealing. We had an excellent meal and enjoyed their wines too. The restaurant is quite noisy though due to high ceilings and lack of soft furnishings. A...More

Description
At the Black Oystercatcher Restaurant, we live by the season. We serve fresh produce that grows in our own garden as the seasons dictate. As a result, we offer a fresh dining experience, set in a relaxed country atmosphere. Here fresh food, complimenting our boutique wines, is prepared to order and enjoyed at leisure. The seasons also determine the mood at this Cape Agulhas restaurant: the refreshing sea breeze will cool you down in summer, or enjoy our cozy log fires in the winter months.
