A lovely garden for seasonal dining, or a charming interior. Tagliata was so tender and delicious, the house dessert a must. Excellent wine selection. Highly recommended

We were met in the doorway and varmly welcomed, as if they were only waiting for us as guests. A sparkling wine was served imidiately on the house while we chose our food. We had Four different kinds of food, from very good beef to pastas and all was excellent prepared and delicious taste. All desserts are homemade and big... More

One of the best lunches we had in Tuscany. The restaurant has a very nice outdoor setting in a lovely garden. The menu is extensive and it featured very interesting dishes. Our favorite was pasta with leeks, pistachios and prosciutto. Good wine selection as well. Highly recommended!

Visited San Quirico d'Orcia without doing much research. I was hungry for food, after parking our car and walked up to the city, we found this restaurant and decided to eat in because we saw a tortoise in a beautiful garden (and I believe it led us there, ha!). The spring chicken I ordered was grilled nicely and very juicy,... More

Al Vecchio Forno is easily one of the better restaurants in the Val d'orcia. The food is amazing, service fantastic, and the outdoor seating area in the garden is incomparable. I had a pasta with leaks and pistachio tha is the best pasta dish I have ever had. My wife and I also enjoyed a Fiorentina steak......one of the finest... More

Found this spot based on TripAdvisor recommendations and ratings. It did not disappoint. It was a cool day but we asked to be seated outside! What an amazing experience - the food and service were excellent! I suspect the dining experience would be the same!

I tent to judge an Italian restaurants by reference to their teramiso. By this yardstick Al Vecchio Forno is one of the best. The pasta dishes were great as well. In short highly recommended .

I must compliment the design, I find it a great mixture of high-end restaurant and a typical taverna. The staff is very professional, the photos of celebrities add to the special feel. The food was very tasty and nicely arranged. They don't mind the visit of children. Will come back in summer for an opportunity to sit in the garden...
