Vary good set up for this restaurant, with tables outside in a very nicely decorated garden. Food was really good though service was quite slow.

Family dinner was planned - as we have 2 little kids we had been sent to the last corner of the restaurant outside, same like other families even a lot of other tables had been free. Food was ok but not exciting.

Nice location. That's all positive with this restaurant. I ordered "tagliere Di salumi" with claimed local products. I must admit that it has been one of the worse tagliere I had in my life. We then ordered filetto (beef) and filetto (pork). Both tasteless! Finally, we took 2 deserts...Nothing to be remembered. Last, but not the least...very high prices for... More

We dined in Al Vecchio Forno last summer and I dreamed all year that we'd return. And we did! It's not only the warm welcome, the charming garden restaurant (there are also two inside rooms where out-of-season guests dine), the very Italian atmosphere, but also the food is very, very good. Plus our excellent waiter was helpful with questions about... More

Wonderful restaurant in the fantastic village of SAN Quirico d'orcia. The restaurant is stylish Italian decorated with small tables, squeezed together when you arrive through the entry. The place do also have a second floor and an outside garden for dining and they are equally adorable. I personally Love the "Wall OF Corks" which is One of the Walls at... More

This restaurant had everything in its favour, belonging to the hotel group where I was staying, having pretty good reviews on TripAdvisor, but sadly this didn't help. We ordered tagliata and pic with bolognese ragu. The quality of the meat was interesting, there was no flavour and it had a rubbery consistency. The potatoes that we ordered as sides, tasted... We went on the recommendation from our hotel. None of us particularly enjoyed our meals. I am a vegetarian and the waiter suggested gnocchi with mushrooms for me. The dish lacked flavour and the mushrooms actually still had dirt in them and with each bite I crunched on soil (thus I hardly ate any of my meal). My husband and... More

We were served in a beautiful garden. As soon as we sat down we were given a small 'welcome' glass of prosecco and the the waiters were very knowledgable and informative. We tried all their suggestions of the dishes that were particularly local to this part of Tuscany and were not disappointed. All delicious.

A lovely garden for seasonal dining, or a charming interior. Tagliata was so tender and delicious, the house dessert a must. Excellent wine selection. Highly recommended

We were met in the doorway and varmly welcomed, as if they were only waiting for us as guests. A sparkling wine was served imidiately on the house while we chose our food. We had Four different kinds of food, from very good beef to pastas and all was excellent prepared and delicious taste. All desserts are homemade and big... More
