We ate at al Veccio Forno twice while visiting Tuscany, a testament to how much we enjoyed it, because there are lots of great places to eat. Our first meal was lunch, when we enjoyed soup and a plate of antipasti. Both the soups were good, but the tomato soup they serve is outstanding; it's the version with bread, finished... More

We came across this little gem whilst out for a stroll and settled in the courtyard to enjoy the beautiful balmy evening. The food was lovely, the service could have been better but was okay. The setting was wonderful but we had the feeling that they were busy and wanted people out as soon as they had eaten which was... More

We've been here with friends end of September and ate incredibly good. We had a big plate with diverse antipasti, this was actually not on the menu card but we asked to combine some nice antipasti for us and it was very tasty. As main dish I had Gnocchi with pesto, really good! One of the better pesto's I ate... More

We had a three-course dinner, which tasted pretty nice. Delicately spiced up, perfectly cooked. Prosecco served at the beginning and special menus printed for ladies not showing prices are nice gestures adding to the overall experience. Could spice the menu up with some experimental modernized dishes.

The food and service were wonderful here. This is the only place we ate at twice during a 3 week tour of Italy. The steak with rosemary and olive oil was great. Pastas and antipasti, likewise superb. Extensive list of primarily Tuscan wines. Definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant was excellent. Our starter pasta was so delicious best we have had in Italy yet, we both had a kind of meat stew for main with some buttered cabbage and veg, so simple but so delicious. We shared a dessert and a dessert wine which was again so delicious. The waiter was friendly and attentive and made useful... More

First time I visited this place was 2 years ago, they have an amazing pasta with truffles and a very good winelist. Went back there now in august, travelled 2 hours by car just to visit this place again, and do some vine shopping in this little village. Friendly staff. I will definitly recommend this place and come back on... More

The setting was marvellous, options to sit inside or in the garden area.We chose the garden and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere.Comprehensive menu to cover most tastes ! A wide selection of Tuscan wines (naturally) and of course a focus on Brunello. The staff were polite and professional, very ready to assist with explanations and guidance on the local wine selection. We ordered... More

This is billed as one of the best restaurants in San Quirico d'Orcia and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere in the garden is terrific. We were offered very good quality prosecco on arrival and all the good was excellent. We had been told that the restaurant is expensive but found it to be very good value.

There are a ton of options in Tuscany, many with food on par or better than this. My Osso Bucco was downright tough and tiny. Service was average. My wife's honey mustard pork chop was quite good. Average for Tuscany is still better than most places of course. But after eating here I can only conclude it is ranked so... More
