A great country pub. No frills here, just superb, solid, home-cooked food, well kept beers and friendly and efficient staff. The food is excellent, the game pie was up-there with some of the best pies ever and the fish and chips and Sunday roasts were...More

We first visited this pub when we bought land to self-build in the area. We have been several times since with family and friends and are always welcomed as warmly as regulars. Our self- build is well under way and we are looking forward to...More

We were a group of six on a Saturday night. Staff were friendly and helpful but clearly overstretched. We were happy enough with all the food but there were very long waits.

Hub of the community this place. Small but often lively and with excellent home cooked food. Very generous portions too! The pub really gets involved positively with village activities and events and the beer and ale selection are excellent and well kept.

Traditional pub with food at the higher end of the spectrum. Obviously the touch of a dedicated chef. Pleasant attentive staff. Only failing was the lack of off road parking
