Visited the Mill for a day trip with a group of friends, some of who were quite elderly. Lovely setting. Great facility for a Group event. Lovely new extension which enabled us to all be together for lunch. The food at lunch was very good. Quite a limited choice because we were a party of over 20, but the food... More

We visited the restaurant for a family meal prior to a wedding. The meals had to be preordered as we were a large party. The service was swift, and the meals well presented. Not a massive selection of meals available, but should suit most tastes.

Very pretty setting on a small river-lots of space outside with seating--but watch the kids--open water and streams .Lovely building-but thought the food was very average plus a bit over-priced--all of our party thought it was not very "special". Will not go there again--other much better choices in the area.

We went here for cream tea as part of the celebrations for Hubbys parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. What a lovely afternoon. The cream tea was gorgeous with lots of lovely cream and jam. The surroundings are also very beautiful and the band stand had garlands around it, as it is a wedding venue. This was great for a few pictures... More

Small intimate restaurant with views of the old water mill wheel. Locally sourced food, cooked fresh, presentation outstanding, and tasted delicious. Home made beefburgers a dream so was the mouth watering fish with chunky chips. Deserts also tasted so delicious.

First time I have visited and possibly the last. Location was very attractive so can see why a popular wedding venue, but the food was very average.

Fabulous food, and place in all aspects. Well recommended.called in for morning coffee. And booked Sunday lunch which was excellent. The grounds are wonderful, with the beautiful Peacocks an added attraction.

Having tried most places in the area, this place is one of the best. The food was excellent quality and very good value for money. It's a shame when we visited we were the only ones there, which was a bit of a surprise considering how Good the food was and how friendly the staff were.

Recommended by a neighbour. Our first visit since moving to the area and we weren't disappointed with the Sunday Lunch. Beautiful location with a warm welcome. Comfortable lounge for a pre-dinner drink whilst making selections from a limited but balanced menu. Waiting staff very polite and attentive without being annoying. The food was fresh from local producers, the roast beef... More

I visited for a weekday lunch. I ate chicken stuffed with brie, with sweet potato and vegetables. For dessert I went for sticky toffee pudding with banana ice cream. It was all delicious. The vegetables were cooked just right, not a hint of the softness of overcooking. I'm not sure I'd ever have put chicken and brie together but it... More

Dine by candlelight as the waterwheel turns

The Wheelroom Restaurant is small but beautifully appointed with ample space for 40 people.

A light and airy room by day, the Wheelroom with its flickering candles is transformed into a romantic evening setting with soft music by night and the constant turn of the waterwheel behind the glass partition enhances your experience whenever you dine.

Tables can be arranged to suit your needs, so whether eating alone, as a couple or with a party of family or friends the Wheelroom can accommodate you.

Your welcome at the bar is second to none, choose your dishes from the a la carte menu or specials board, then wander down to the Wheelroom where our fully trained, attentive but unobtrusive waitresses will look after you from starters to coffee and liqueurs
