Clean and colorful place on the main street of Bijagua with friendly servers and really good Tico food. My dinner plate had tender seasoned chicken breast, rice, black beans, plantains, a remarkable and flavorful hearts of palm dish, and fresh salad. I think this cook has a nice command of spices, and I recommend these tico plates as delicious and... More

Had lunch here with my wife, her brother, and his wife, and we all enjoyed our food, which varied from a hamburger and fries, chicken with rice, to bean empanadas. Large servings, quaint local atmosphere, and very reasonably priced. Just like going to your favourite local diner, except no one speaks English (they do provide an English version of their... More

Tasty rice and beans and service was friendly. You won't go away hungry, but my wife was served fish when she ordered chicken. This could have been a language barrier as the waitress spoke very little English and we spoke very little Spanish.

We ate several meals at Las Tinajitas. It was always full of locals, which is usually a good indicator. We had typical Costa Rican meals and always left satisfied. Service was typical for Latin America; meals were brought out when they were hot, not all at once, and you go pay at the counter when you are ready to leave.... More

Typical Ticcas food, well prepared and tasty. We took some Fagitas polo and moros con leche. All well prepared and served with a great smile!

We came here twice during our stay. First time we had the daily casado, the second a hamburguesa and pollo en salsa. Service was excellent, food was simple with fresh ingredients. Very tasty. And reasonably priced. If you are in Bijagua stop in for lunch, everyone in the area does!

We came here for dinner. We ordered a casado with chicken fajitas, a steak with onions, a hamburger and a garlic tilapia. All the dishes were good and flavorful. The problem was that they brought them one by one, and there was a 20 minute gap between the first one and the last one, so we were not able to... More

We had lunch here after hiking Rio Celeste. My husband and I each had the casado. I had the chicken and it was amazing. So amazing that I wished we could have eaten here again for dinner. I tried casado in every town we visiting in CR, and this was by far the best. The prices are very reasonable. Great... More

I went to this Soda for a breakfast. First, no prices. I asked and i didn't get any clear answer. then I took a normal typical breakfast and a coffee. The waitress never gave a smile. I paid 2700 colones for a low quality gallo pinto + coffee. Next door, there is a Pizzeria, it is cheaper, the service is... More

Las Tinajitas is a short distance west of the main intersection in Bijagua on the south side of the road. My wife and I ate lunch here. I ordered a casado with chicken (far more than I could eat) and my wife selected several different items from the menu. Very clean with excellent service, the food is well prepared and... More
