We returned to this restaurant to find that it is now run by just one young owner and his family but we weren't disappointed. The menu is really interesting and because it changes so often we can keep going back! Their specials are just great. Stefano and his sister give a very attentive service and mum does wonders in the... More

I've had the opportunity to eat here twice; 2012 and 2015. This is my grandparents' birthplace and being able to visit here was a opportunity of a lifetime! And every time I visit, I make it a point to have dinner at Piazza Grande! My favorite meal here was the fettucini in pigeon sauce! Yes, pigeon (piccione)! It was delicious!... More

The restaurant has recently changed ownership. It is now run by two young, local chefs and their menu is very creative. It still contains typical Umbrian dishes but with flair. The service is helpful and friendly and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Nocera Umbra has little to do, as its still rebuilding after the big earthquake. One little reason to go is this restaurant. Small and family run, the steak in local wine is fantastic

I had no clue of what i was in for when I walked in. The owner greeted me at the door and even moved "his" car to accommodate mine in this beautiful, medieval tiny square on top of Nocera Umbra. The appetizer even included a truffle frittata that was out of this world (and I don't care for truffles!), the... More

Our expectations were high given the high scores at Tripadvisor, but the food itself was average at best. The antipasti looked better than the actual taste of it. The assortments of ham, cheese and fried vegetables did not exceed the 'supermarket' quality. Main course was even more disappointing. Pasta with truffles was overcooked, which is a rarity in Italy. Pasta... More

Some chefs know exactly how to cook simple meat dishes so that they turn out superbly every time. This is the case with La Piazza Grande - if you can call a large fillet steak cooked in fresh Umbrian truffles simple. Try also the tagliata a pachino e grano, and certainly order the large antipastone, which presents a variety of... More

Date of Visit: November 28, 2011 While staying in Spello we tried to eat in a small place in Valtopina which happened to be closed on Monday. Rather than return to Spello we ventured up the road and promised to turn around if we found nothing within 15 minutes. We stumbled into Nocera Umbra which was the largest town beyond... More
