The restaurant is in a beautiful place with terrible food and wait staff. First they mixed the salt into my margarita making it way too salty to drink. Next we asked when our appetizer, the ceviche would be out after 20 minutes of waiting. He...told us to wait because another table was in front of us. There were only two full tables, mine included. The ceviche was soupy and tasted like soupy onions. I had the Mahi Mahi which had no flavor and was quite dry. The entire experience was not worth a dime. The restaurant is over priced with the worst service and food in the St Lawrence Gap.More

We visited as a couple after walking past a few times and it looked lovely with a great setting. The service just wasn’t great we.. the menu itself is quite small but our mains were quite nice. We had finished our drinks and not asked...did we want more and then once our main was cleared asked did we want the bill.. which is the most bizarre service.. what happened to asking did we want dessert more drinks etc… we asked for the dessert menu but in the end just chose to leave as wasn’t worth the money. It’s a shame as it could be a hot spot in the gap but they need to do some work on hospitality!More

Loving the rum punch here and the really friendly service from DeShaun. Website says they aren’t open for dinner, but they are!

Set a bit back from the road, I initially walked past this place without realising it was a restaurant and bar. Set right on the beach, it is a spectacular setting. I was a little early for dinner, so decided to just have a drink...and watch the sunset before dinner service began. The waiting staff were so lovely, which is what I have experienced in most places in Barbados. They handed me the menu and allowed me to order ahead, so that the moment dinner service started I would get my food immediately. I had the fritto misto to start. The battered was light and well-seasoned and balanced very well with the tartare sauce. Raw carrots as a garnish seems to be a thing in Barbados, as I’ve seen it a few times, but I remain unconvinced of its value to the dish. I had the chicken main. Now I normally don’t like ordering chicken in restaurants as I feel I would like something more exotic when eating out. However, I’ve had a lot of seafood since arriving in Barbados, so chicken suddenly feels exotic. This was lovely. The chicken was moist and juicy and tender and oh so yummy. Perhaps a bit too much starch on the plate for me, as I didn’t have space for desserts by the end. The only thing that bugged me about the meal was that I was asked to give a tip despite there already being service charge added to the bill.More

Not bad food but ok. Starters were good but chicken main dish was greasy. Lovely setting and atmosphere but a bit of a let down on the main course. Not the best meal on our holiday

Terrible service. Waited for over one and a half hours for lunch, and they had to ask us three times what our order was, after about one hour of waiting. The manager was great and offered us a drink as an apology, but at that...point we had already had two and didn’t need one more. Smelled like sewage. Too bad, because the view is spectacular.More

Simple, uncomplicated menu , elegant stunning food. Friendly and engaging waiting staff. Fabulous location right by the beach. Best ceviche I've ever had! We even got to see the turtles hatching right outside.

My friends and I were strolling along St Lawrence Gap just browsing the Food spots, as we were just refused service by another restaurant on that stretch. We came across the Wood finished Modern looking Pure Ocean restaurant but it seemed that they were wrapping...up for the night but we walked in and enquired if they were closing, to our surprise they invited us to be seated and proceeded to serve us. After having a hearty meal, our waiter warmed our hearts when he proceeded to walk us out, take photos of us on their tiki lit walkway. We left there with our bellies filled and our hearts warmed. Pure Ocean was 100% one of the best experiences of our trip. We look forward to dinning with them again.More

We went as a family of 8. We ordered a variety of dishes including, pancakes, omelette’s & breakfast sandwiches. The food portions were particularly small with the omelette’s made with only 2 eggs & the pancakes were half sized. Service was functional, rather than personable,...with us having to continually grab the waiting staff’s attention for any service. Our bill was almost 400.00BD & this included a 10% service charge. We were then asked if we were giving a tip, we stated no. What is the 10% service charge for? To say we were underwhelmed & unimpressed is putting it mildly. We shall not be returning until the portions & service reflect the lofted prices & service charge.More

We called in for lunch, the staff weren't particularly friendly and we waited almost an hour for our food, which was a Caesar salad and a gourmet ham cutter. The food was nice but not worth the wait, wouldn't return.

Pure Oceans was for years one of our best lunch spots. Now post Covid it is our worst. They had a great menu and one of the best club sandwiches. The run puch was very good and they had happy hour from 12:00 to 1:00....Now the happy hour is gone, The menu is very limited. No club sandwich and one of the worst rum punches I've had, Not a smart move on their part. This will cost them !!! We see already that not a lot of people go and it's dead at night. SAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!More

We charged the meal to our room as we were staying at the Divi and tipped in cash. Sorry we didn't notice if the restaurant took credit cards.
