My wife and I took another couple out for an evening meal and were, for the most part, quite satisfied. The service was good but a bit spotty. It was sometimes difficult to attract our server’s attention. We were left alone for far too long at times. The biggest criticism is the automatic inclusion of a 10% tip. It was never brought to our attention except for the teeny tiny print at the bottom of the menu. It would also be nice if the prices and descriptions on their website matched the menu prices and descriptions. We had a question about a menu item but our server made no attempt to find the answer. The food and drinks we did choose were very good but little aspects marred our overall experience.

This restaurant is on the Boardwalk and offers a great view for the sunset! Once we noticed that many places take reservations we decided to make a reservation the same day we wished to visit. We found that day of booking was not sufficient to get a railing table. If you would like a railing table, book in advance as early as you can.
We also highly enjoyed happy hour from 5-6pm where you can get the local banks beer for $3 each (Barbados dollars).

We had passed Blakey’s several times in a taxi, but had never the chance to eat there until now. We called earlier in the day to make a booking, and also noticed that there would be live music playing this evening. It was one of our best evenings in Barbados. Live music was provided by Wesu Wallace who was excellent and kept us entertained from 7pm to 9pm. The table service was brilliant. We were greeted by a host who guided us to our reserved table, and within a few minutes our waitress had taken our drinks order, and drinks had arrived. The main order was placed and within 10 - 15 minutes we were tucking into a Caesar salad, beef burgers, and Spring rolls. All wrapped up nicely with some ice cream for dessert. Brilliant live music, atmosphere, service, location and food. 10 out of 10. Our best evening out to date.

Poor service, on arrival told we may have to move to a smaller table because we were on a 6 seater bench so that was a bad start. Drinks orders too slow, meals too slow and almost cold when it reached the table, asked for salt and pepper and by the time that it came we had almost finished our meal. Asked for the bill had to wait about 10 mins for that and another 15 mins for the change, never again !!

We recently stayed in Hastings for a week and ate one lunch and one dinner at Blakeys. (1) The lunch was awesome. My husband had the catch of the day, my friend had the curry chicken and I had the caribbean rice with the fish. All our meals were very good. The service was spot on and we had a good experience. (2) Dinner however, was not so great. When we arrived at 730 there were at least 5 empty tables, however they were reserved and we were forced to sit at a small folding table in the way of the door to the inside. There was no live music scheduled for that night, which was the reason for going. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers that were extremely over cooked and had no taste and the chicken dijon that had too many flavors combined, it was undescribeable. Maybe someone would have liked it but not my cup of tea. The scenery is beautiful.

Went there 2 nights ago with 9 friends - waited 2 hours for our food. Then it arrived in relays so we did not eat together as a group. Vegetables mainly raw and some of the meals were very small. The manager said he only worked there 2 nights a week and was not responsible for the staff roster and so they just didn't have enough staff [but obviously he only told us this AFTER the meal]

I am easily impressed in general so I'm so surprised I'm here talking about how appalling this restaurant is. Firstly, upon entering the restaurant we weren't even acknowledged even though we had a valid booking. The staff completely ignored us until I spoke up. We moved further into the restaurant and were repeatedly told that we would be seen to, that was for around 15 minutes. We were taken to our table eventually, which was a completely soaked bench and I told her this is completely unacceptable. As a result, we got moved to another table after I told her we weren't walks ins, we had booked a table online.
The manager came out and told us that he wasn't aware that I had altered my booking to half an hour later and that basically it was my fault that I didn't do it a day before as opposed to a few hours before. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, a booking system is in place to allow a diner to amend a booking in real time in which ever way they want. He was quite aggressive and unnecessarily rude, I just wanted him to leave us so we could order in peace.
After that fiasco, we were ready to try the amazing pepper pot dish we saw online. This was until the lovely waitress informed us this hasn't been on the menu for years. They have told management to align the menus online and in the restaurant but they haven't listened. This is unbelievable, if you don't listen to your staff, what chance do you have prospering as a restaurant??
At this point, we are starving so we order the jerk chicken and plantain skewers and surprise surprise, they have run out of this. This was the last straw, we left, the waitress apologised and understood why we were leaving. I gave this place a chance because of the reviews but it truly is the worst place I have been to on the island. Think twice before booking here.

Me and my friends ate here while on a school hockey tour, while expensive for poor schoolboys the location looking over the Atlantic ocean is phenomenal. We didnt wait long for food and I ate the boardwalk burger which has a spot in my heart for one of the best burgers I've eaten. I highly reccomend

Booked for live music night so expected to be busy and to wait. Waitress told us 45 min wait, which was not a problem but turned into nearly 2 hours, and then 2 out of our 3 meals were cold! So had to be returned. Very disappointed and would not recommend, unfortunately, we wasted a night of our holiday

We went in to ask for a table and the matradee just walked away and left us standing there for 10 minutes. Finally a waitress came by and took us to a table. The mango salad with barracuda and the shrimp tacos were ok. The tacos on had two shrimp each on them. I would stick with the beers there the bartenders are not very good with cocktails

Waited over an hour for the food. The sweet potato fries were very dry, the garlic bread was burnt, the wings were cold, the Hastings Rock burger was missing the guacamole. Requested to speak to the manager and he was intoxicated and took no responsibility for the poor service.

We all had a very tasty plate of jerk chicken skewers with various 'sides'. Really enjoyed the rum punch too. We arrived at 5.45pm which was still happy hour, so we ordered two drinks each as they were half price!
The service was very good to start, but slowed a bit after we ate. It was no problem as we weren’t in a rush!

My partner and stopped at Blakey’s and the attitude of the staff was appalling.
So I went to bar a bought drinks and we sat outside chilling drinking and we decided to have a look at the menu, so I asked a waitress and she gave me a menu saying someone will come over to serve us, a blonde hair waitress walked pass us 3 or 4 times as if we was invisible. A tall West Indian lady then came out and spoken to everyone around and just completely ignoring us.
So we drank up and left and jumped on the ZR and down to fish fry to Crazy Eddies food was marvellous.
Blakey’s is not a good place for quality and service, substandard, staff member’s unfriendly and obnoxious with a vile attitude. Please don’t was you money and time at Blakey’s......

Great outdoor setting for drinks and bar food. They are also a sports bar, so it is a good place to come watch a game or match. The drinks are reasonably priced, the service is great and you should try the fishcakes.

We arrived at 7.30pm and Blakey’s was pretty full so we had to sit in an area with very odd green lights - they made our food look strange.
This place has a nice vibe and prices are reasonable.
Service was friendly but clearly the kitchen could not cope . We waited an hour and 15 mins for food !! When it came, the food was delicious especially the macaroni pie which might be the best I tasted on the island.
Shame about the wait because otherwise this place would be great
