Dropped into Blakeys the day before for drinks and were so impressed we booked for dinner the next evening - what a difference a day makes :-( Slow service, wrong drinks, missing food - it was 6.30pm so can't even say they were busy with...a full service? It's a great location with good music but was just let down on that particular day by poor service :-(More

Attempted to eat here twice. The first time the staff were really rude and one actually laughed and walked away when I asked if they had a table for 5 (they did). The girl passed me to another person as she didn’t want to deal...with me and they stated they couldn’t fit us in and we left. That’s fine apart from the rudeness. Second time we went through the week and it was really quiet, this time my wife asked for a table and was told “don’t ask me, ask her” about a table - which she did. We were then put in a corner and waited 20 minutes without anyone seeing us, asking us for drinks or even acknowledging us so we walked out. Super rude and happened to us more than once. Not welcoming at all, rude staff who didn’t seem to care you were there or not. Spend your money at Mama Mia’s or Jakes instead.More

A wonderful seafront setting on the Boardwalk. Great, friendly attentive service and well priced food and drink. We enjoyed the steak and catch of the day and visited many times during our stay. Will be back again!

Lots of fried food on the menu, tasted okay. Chicken wings tasty. Service was slow and live music caters for UK crowd ie not much reggae. Far better places along the beach to eat.

I was disappointed in the food. Had been looking forward to it. There was no chicken in the entire restaurant, so my daughter's dinner was limited. Hamburger tasted weird per my son. I ordered the flying fish dinner with mango salsa, half the reason I...got it was b/c of the salsa. Well, it came out with a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes. I asked the waitress, she said the kitchen hadn't told her that they changed it (she was very nice about it), but I was annoyed--the kitchen should communicate these things with the wait staff. I would have ordered a different entree had I known. Service slow, but was pretty normal speed for Barbados. Overall meal was just mediocre.More

We visited Blakey's twice in our short stay in Barbados this February. We reserved tables by emailing (and Blakey's then confirmed our request) - lucky we did because both nights they were fully booked. The food was excellent - and so was the service. No...long waits and we were made to feel really welcome. On the Friday night there was a DJ - we thought we would have preferred live music, but the DJ mix was fantastic, a journey through the 70’s, 80’s 90’s through to today. On the Saturday night there was a live band. Fairly good - but with a special mention to the bass guitarist who was superb, and was great to hear some Brass as well. Highly recommended, but book in advance.More

We arrived on a Sunday without a reservation, but the staff managed to find us a table. The service was excellent in every way and we enjoyed our meal as the sun sank over the horizon.

Im not really sure what has gone wrong here... but the staff are rude. When the white waitress told us that wiping the table or getting water wasn't her job, it makes me wonder what exactly is her job?.The staff seemed disorganised and im not...sure if they really understand what how the table booking system works. The week before this visit the black waitress sat a white couple who didnt have a booking at the table we had booked. We pointed out that we had a booking and she said she had to check, but why didnt she have to check to see if the white couple had a booking.... Eventually, on pointing out this discrepancy on how different customers of different backgrounds wree being treated, she screw faced had ro ask the white couple to move. The management needs to stamp this kind of off key behaviour out. Ohhh and the soft rock house band sucks, its not that they are bad musicians, its just the wrong musical choice for this venue. The food is ok.More

I am writing this review at 1:45 in the morning as the entertainment at Blakey’s has just finished. I do not know the noise laws in Barbados but I should think that allowing a low talent band play until such an hour and disrupt the...sleep of neighbours should be unacceptable. Blakey’s are you going to be a good neighbour?More

It's extremely poor service when you have to wait almost 1 hour and 30 mins to receive your order (I'm really not exaggerating). Seems to be severely understaffed and no one even acknowledges you when you walk in. From all accounts, this seems to be...the the growing norm. I definitely will not be returning, neither would I recommend anyone to visit. However the choice is yours. Management, do better.More

We’ve been going to Blakeys for well over 10 years and we went last night with a group of friends. It was a total disaster. It took almost 45 minutes to get a drink and a further hour to get our food. When it came,...two were stone cold and one of our party never got his order. I had Shrimp Scampi which I had had before. It consisted of 3 shrimp. Outrageous!! When we challenged the Manager, he did nothing and not even an apology. We should have walked out and not paid. . I’m really sorry but that’s the last visit for us.More

Went to Blakeys on Saturday night. Jae Johansson was playing. Fantastic! The band kept the place hopping. So much fun. The wait staff are super friendly and the food was really good. Definitely recommend. Want to go back before our time here is up.

We went to Blakey’s on Saturday night and was treated to a fantastic evening of entertainment and great food. Happy hour is 5-6, but make sure you ask for updated drinks list. The staff there are also great including Rochelle….thanks for a great night😎 If...you plan to eat, I would suggest booking at least a day in advance.More

Fastest and most efficient service we've had on the island. Friendly, too, and the food was great. We ordered 2 apps and had 7 drinks and spent about $60 CDN. Can't argue with that. 10/10 would recommend.
