We were walking around town looking for a place that was open and serving. Passing by Le Mahina we stopped in and they happened to have one table available in their upstair area. The seaside area was full, probably filled with people who had reservations. There were also outdoor and indoor bar areas that seemed to be popular with the locals.... More

We made a reservation, this place always seems to be fully booked, and got a nice table by the window upstairs. The service was good, and the food aswell. I can really recommed their cocktails, the bartender got it just right! The desserts are very big, you can easely share one dessert with someone and still get your sweet tooth... More

We ate here twice during our two-week visit. As with most restaurants in Deshaies, make a reservation. The pizzas are very good and the staff is helpful. We liked the goat cheese salad but I thought it was heavy on the nuts. Decent prices. Also, great place to get pizza to go. There's a room/deck right on the water and... More

We ate at this lively little bar restaurant on our first night. We arrived late - about 9:30 and got the last table. It seems like both a locals and tourist hang out and the rum was flowing/ Because of the time of night we both had light meals of salads and some wine. Both were good. It would be... More

You need to book this small restaurant with a nice terrace. We didn't, that's why we bought a take away pizza. Very good, tasty.

Perfectly serviceable food, I'd recommend, instead, La Savane next door. Although we did not order pizza or pasta, many guests come here for those choices.

Very nice place with great pizzas but also with fish and pasta. We tried them we were very pleased. Sweet young, smiling and very prompt staff. We loved them and for sure we'll come back!

While initially I was unhappy to learn that the pizza I was craving was only available as a dinner item, I can safely say that any disappointment was erased upon tasting my salad--smoked duck, foie gras, gizzards (had to look that up when I got home as it was beyond my French and the server's English to translate that!), artichoke,... Le Mahina is the perfect spot for lunch and dinner. In the daytime, dine outdoors on their terrace facing the water. At night, dine inside, upstairs overlooking the main street in Deshaies. The pizza (tried the mozzarella and ham) is excellent. The pasta (tried the carbonara and bolognese) is OK--a little greasy by American standards but still satisfying. The staff... More

After wandering around Deshaies one afternoon, we decided to have a drink at this waterfront restaurant. The staff was great, and answered all of our questions about the town and the "Death in Paradise" show that films there each year. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to have dinner there two nights later. Turned out to be a... More
