Just arrived in Deshaies and went down to Grande Anse beach . Saw this place from TA reviews and we weren’t disappointed . We both ordered pork . I had chips for side and my other half had rice . It came with a good...sized salad too and we were also given a freebie starter which was little pieces of fish cooked in batter . Very fresh and piping hot ! Two drinks and the total was just on €20 for both of us with a view onto the beach . Go again - mais oui!More
Plage de Grand Anse had several beach shacks to choose from and we chose Chez Liline because it had a pretty good crowd - if you don't have prior knowledge of which place is good, following a big crowd is oftentimes a good move and...we were not disappointed. Chez Liline is a quinitessential Caribbean beach shack serving simple yet delicious plates. We were seated quickly and greeted by the most pleasant waitress. We ordered the chicken for my girlfriend and a grilled fish for myself. I got the grilled fish because others ordered it and it looked so good. They gave us a complementary plate of accras (cod fish fritters) before our plates came. My girlfriend got her chicken with salad and fries. I got my fish with salad and gratin potatoes. She loved her chicken. My fish was light but filling, delicious and grilled perfectly. Service was great. Food was great. The seating area is shaded. Apologies for not remembering the price we paid as we paid cash but it wasn't expensive at all and we definitely recommend Chez Liline for lunch if you you go to Plage de Grand Anse.More
We didn’t pick this restaurant ahead of time, since there are many to choose from at Plage De Grande Anse. They are get full and you have to expect to wait for food. Having said that, we enjoyed our food and drinks here. The service...was friendly and the food was large portions and reasonable prices. Did I mention the Ti Punch was also worth getting? I’m sure you can’t go wrong at those restaurants right on the beach, but I would recommend this be one on your short list.More
To our surprise very good food.
We ended up in this restaurant after being disappointed by a "fancy" place close by and the only thing we expected here was to eat as we were already very hungry.
The looks were simple with the covered wooden...deck but from start the service was very welcoming. The best choice of food we had there was the "fricassee de ouassous" (large freshwater shrimp) that tasted excellent. They will serve you before main course accras and also there is a side dish included (rice, beans, salad..).
They do have also kids menus at a reasonable price - we took grilled chicken that came with a choice of side dish, a starter and a drink.
The place seemed also a locals favorite compared to other similar restaurants.More
Our host suggested we try Chez Liline and it was awesome. They give you a plate of free appetizers (accras - local fish fritters). The service was fast and friendly even though the restaurant was full. The portions were huge and the food was excellent....Bill came to under 40 Euro for three, including three beer, and we couldn't finish all the food.More
We had lunch at this beach spot during our stay on Guadeloupe and enjoyed it so much! The restaurant is casual but charming with pretty tablecloths and matching napkins. The menu is extensive. We were sadly in a hurry so chose salads. But what salads...they were! So large and fresh and absolutely delicious. Mine had shrimp that were perfectly cooked and seasoned. This is a busy spot but don’t fret, because the woman in charge works tirelessly to get people seated and enjoying the great food. She was so lovely! The price was excellent, too. This is a real find!More
We went to Grand Anse twice and both days went to Chez Liline for lunch.
Get there early because the place fills up with the lunch crowd. Yes, the service is slow, but the strength of the Planter's Punch will take the edge off and...the food and portions are really good. Cote du Porc, Chicken Columbo, the salads, and the accras (cod fritters free to every table) all excellent.More
