After a day at the beach me and my family went to have dinner at La Caldera. Despite we were a table of 11 people the food came quite fast. The staff is great. From moment one they made us feel at home and prepared a meal specially for my vegan cousin. El arroz a banda is the best I... More

Very good spanish place . Good prices, good quality and good service. "Ensalada de la casa" was very good , made from fresh products and good portion. The Sea Bass fish was amazing. My family had paella and they were very happy with it aswell. Will return very soon to try something different. Thank you to the helpful waiter...!

6 of us had lunch in this oldy worldy restaurant! Satisfied customers all round... The salade verde is a Spanish classic, fresh, delicious and simply made. I had the Paella which, I said at the time and stand by... was probably the best I've ever eaten! I'll be back...

This place has become the traditional place for our Last supper when I've been visiting my friends in Spain. The owner is grumpy but it adds to the entertainment, the staff are great. Menu del dia is a winner, boqueronies and calamari exceptional and the best arroza banda ever. Disappointed to miss out on the crema catalan, they'd just sold... More

Unfriendly, but obviously after several visits, they are capable of some fantastic food. The sell is bad. The "Menu del dia" is reluctantly given and if you give a free hand to recommendations you will come out with a massive bill!!!! It is such a shame because they could be up with the best. I would eat here every week... More

We booked a table for 4 people on the terrace, when we arrived there was no tab,e for us and the was extremely rude and unhelpful. Eventually a table was found for us, and I had to wait 35 minutes before a drink was even offered to us. The service was extremely bad and we had to ask several times... More

If you walk close it don't lose the opportunity to enjoy the menu, 17€ for starters, main dish with a paella prepared at least for 2, desert or coffee. I have to said we ordered the black paella and was so great. The staff very close and superb, so take this place into account in your next visit to Alter... More

If you like true Spanish cuisine then visit La Caldera! We had lunch here today and had menu del dia. There were three of us in the party and we had for starters mussels, calamari and a salad. This was followed by paella and crema catalana. All the food was well prepared and came in extremely large portions. The food... More
