If you are looking for something traditional, don't forget to visit this restaurant. Waiters wear "Lederhosen" and serve traditional Austrian food and beer. Great stuff.

We thought this restaurant was one of the few non-smoking ones in the town, but we were wrong and the meal ended up being a bit spoilt in part as a result. The 3 wiener schnitzel and parsley potatoes we ate were a little bland as was the beet and green bean pasta. This said, the waiter was charming and... More
When visiting a new place, we'll usually ask a few people for restaurant recommendations. It was a surprise to us that so many people suggested this restaurant so we had to try it - and we liked it so much that we ate at their 'outside patio/central plaza' twice during our visit to Bad Ischl. On both occasions the patio... More
We werelooking for a simple restaurant with good local food. The food is very tasty and the portions are big. The service is quick and efficient. Prices are more than fair. This is exactly what we were looking for and enjoyed it much.
The gulasch was tasty and the meat very tender but at this price I would expect a green salad too, the same goes for the wiener schnitzel. The place is nicely decorated but not especially cosy.
The food here is pretty good, everyone said it was GREAT, but we found it to be just pretty good. The only problem is that every room in this place is FULL OF SMOKE - so much so, that after a 1 hour lunch, i wreaked of smoke for hours afterward - yuck!!! Beware of the smoke.
if vegetarian, try their Kraut-Fleckerln, noodels with cabbage (sounds strange) it is so tasty and good thus I had it 2 days in a row.

Nice decor, good food and friendly service which is a treat, because most of the restaurants we visited in the area dont seem to like non German speaking tourists, hardly anyone smiled! The menu may be limited with the standard weiner schnitzel, beef goulash etc. But they have two daily specials, the one... More
We came to K.U.K. starving after few hours of walking in very heavy rain. The place was half empty, with mostly locals being guests, which was kind of promising that it was not another tourist trap. First glance at the menu was disappointment, as menu was pretty limited and most of the food contained pork. As my sister is vegetarian... More
