MacauSoul is an intimate wine lounge operated by an enthusiastic retiree couple who have long settled in Macau. Their place is on the corner of Rua de São Paulo and the picturesque Travessa da Paixao near the Ruins of St. Paul's. Opening hours are around...3pm until late each evening. However, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Here you find a small seating area that resembles an antique shop or someones personal home. There are only a few private tables, where you can meet up with friends or family to enjoy an excellent collection of Portuguese wines on offer. MacauSoul also serve up traditional Portuguese snacks, meats and cheeses as well. Prices are very reasonable compared to similar wine bars and lounges in the higher end hotels around the city. Note: Due to the limited space, you may want to call in advance to make reservation and to make sure they are open on the day of your intended visit.More

Came here with friends - excellent location and an incredible selection of wines, we had 3 bottles and all were excellent. Jacky the owner was very knowledgable and able to make good recommendations. Food is limited but it’s all about the wine here. Lovely ambience...too. Thanks!More

Visited the restaurant without prior reservations on a busy Friday night and we got a table within one hour. The lady was lovely, and we had a perfect night. The place has a real ambience, offers superior wines with excellent service. Selected food from the...best sources with some home made choices, it’s a real dining experience. MacouSoul is a must when in Macau.More

Love this place! Location, ambiance, great music, wonderful hosts. One might even not mention the excellence of the wine list and food quality... But can’t. Do not miss it!

We had dinner here one night and it was very relaxing, with delicious food and wine. We had a bottle of white wine, which David -- who told us he's never been to Portugal -- recommended to us, a Niepoort Redoma that we enjoyed a...lot. We ordered the spicy hummus, the baba ganoush, and the spicy Caribbean tuna and it was too much to eat because the portions are generous. We ended up unable to finish it all and took a bunch back to our hotel for the next day. Jacky is super warm and David is very knowledgeable and they've made a lovely little wine lounge in the heart of the old city. They had Art Pepper playing on the stereo and since I'm in the small percentage of people in the world who love jazz, that was a really nice change of pace from what you hear elsewhere. Reservations are a must since the place is small and fills up.More

What an amazing night! Had a party of ten people who enjoy good wine, good food and better atmosphere. MacauSoul, as well as David and Jackie, provided that and more! I can't recommend this place enough. David knows everything about Portuguese wine, while Jackie can...create a cheese board like no other. If you're ever in Macau, go to MacauSoul, and just sit back and let them take you on an adventure you won't soon forget.More

We were greeted with the warmth of old friends on our arrival to MacauSoul. The warm and relaxed environment was married with exquisite Portuguese wine and tasty nibbles. David and Jacky are the perfect hosts. This was the highlight of our weekend and we will...always make this a regular haunt when visiting Macau.More

I’ve resided in Macau for 10 years and had heard rave reports about Macau Soul so my wife and I finally made it here and absolutely loved it. It’s small extremely cozy, quiet with only 5 tables, accompanied by excellent hosts and food and wine...was great. Polished it all off with David’s recommenced 1997 Port wine - perfect evening. We will be back as it’s the perfect place for a lazy relaxing afternoon or evening after touring the city or casinos. However as I said it’s small and popular so make sure you book well in advance and you won’t be disappointed.More
