This restaurant was recommended to us and if you want to eat typical Portuguese food in a very nice area, this is the one to try. The waiters were good, spoke English and were able to recommend dishes for us to try. We had lunch on a Monday, it wasn't crowded and it was a nice walk back into the... More

Their selection of vino verde is great, the food always tasty. Try the quail or the sardines! The Portuguese dessert is fabulous! They just redecorated, and the only difference that is obvious is the new tiles on the floor and the shiningly clean walls, the atmosphere is the same and this place is always full!

My wife and i arrived in Macau around lunchtime and asked our hotel for to recommend a good, authentic Portuguese restaurant in which to eat.Without hesitation, they recommended Henri's Galley. They informed us, that it was authentic and visited by locals, and not to expect white table cloth service and that is exactly what we were seeking. As it was... More

We recently had lunch at Henri's Galley during a weekend stay in Macau and enjoyed another serving of the famous African Chicken and Pastéis de bacalhau. The bacalhau (cod fish balls) is pretty good. The fish is fresh and mixed well, outer layer is fried well and not oily, served with a bit of greens and two olives. Pricey at... More

I specifically went here for the African Chicken which was lauded as the best in Macau. If this is the best then I don't want to taste any more. This is so-so grilled chicken covered in under-seasoned tomato sauce. Certainly the sauce had loads of garlic but it had absolutely no depth of flavor. Given the TA photos and comments... More

The restaurant is small and tables are close to each other. The head waiter insisted we sit near a noisy table or near the kitchen even though the restaurant was almost empty. The bread seems to be rationed. The spicy cocktail sausage appetizer while tasty were overpriced and the African chicken was ho hum lacking flavour and consisting mostly of... More

This reliable restaurant has been here for eons... on Dai Heng street overlooking "the lake". The setting is simple and the food good. My Faldo verse was excellent as was my quail. The ribs looked yummy too! The saladura dessert was delicious! The wine selection was good and we certainly enjoyed our vinho verde!

A local Portuguese treat. 3rd generation owner Raymond is on hand to serve icey homemade Sangria. Chorizo, clams, bacalhau, & Spanish omelette starters were yummy. Followed by a whole sea bass grilled Portuguese style & enough for 4 people with fresh sautéed potatoes & Mediterranean veggies , & a rib eye steak, with curry crab - all highly recommended. Finished... More

We arrived on time for our 8:30 dinner reservation. Greeted very promptly by owner who quickly proceeded to give us suggestions for our shared meal. Food was well presented and very flavorsome. However our experience was spoilt when it became clearly obvious that the staff wanted to close up around 9:45pm and so we were pressured to hurry and leave.... More
