We booked several days in advance for a Sunday lunch. The restaurant is always full and it doesn't have many tables. Unfortunately we forgot to order the roast pig in advance. We tried the recommended seafood rice which we found rather heavy with the liquid. The ox tongue was very good. The Portugese chicken comes with rice too, we ended... More

We have not been for several years and visited with eight friends. Two of our group knew the staff and this undoubtedly made for an almost perfect lunch. The fish dishes were excellent as was the caldo verde. The staff chose our red and white wines and this was a great idea as both were superb. We finished with sawdust... More

It was a very busy day on Sunday. As expected, it was full and reservation was possible only at two. The seafood and bread stew is wonderful and superb with good "seafood" taste possibly from clam. The rest selection of stewed oxtail, chargrilled pork, beef and sardines are just average quality. Not disappointing but not especially impressed. There is a... More

Owner's father born in Portugal and he has carried on the tradition. My sardines were authentic Portuguese and the crab curry (medium) was delicious. Unfortunately they had run out of several desserts including ice cream! However still merit VG because of starters and mains and very good friendly informal service and atmosphere.

Warm and friendly service with cosy decor. Excellent Portuguese food and decent range of wines. The house sangria is excellent. Make sure you book in advance, especially for dinner. This place is justifiably popular with local residents and visitors alike.

It's not located in the central tourist area but it's always full and reservations are always a must. It's an indication of the quality of their food. The ox-tail stew is the best for me. The clams too. Worth the trip there.

Reservations a must. Service excellent and food served very fast. The recommended chicken dish a bit disappointing as meat still had that freezer after taste. The seafood rice a must have with the oxtail stew. Kale soup interesting . Now we know what to do with Kale trimming

The A Lorcha restaurant located in the Barra district of Macau provides the utmost authentic Portagalese cuisine. The food there was excellent, the 馬介休球 was fresh and tasty, the 萄式炒飯 was delicious and the African fried chicken was spicy and suitable for all local travellers and foreign tourists. The service was amazingly outstanding in the restaurant. People treated us very... More

Please do yourself a favour and make a reservation the moment you arrive!! The food is delicious! We had the clams cooked in wine and beef spare ribs - both heavenly! The Sangria was also good value!!
