It's not located in the central tourist area but it's always full and reservations are always a must. It's an indication of the quality of their food. The ox-tail stew is the best for me. The clams too. Worth the trip there.

Reservations a must. Service excellent and food served very fast. The recommended chicken dish a bit disappointing as meat still had that freezer after taste. The seafood rice a must have with the oxtail stew. Kale soup interesting . Now we know what to do with Kale trimming

The A Lorcha restaurant located in the Barra district of Macau provides the utmost authentic Portagalese cuisine. The food there was excellent, the 馬介休球 was fresh and tasty, the 萄式炒飯 was delicious and the African fried chicken was spicy and suitable for all local travellers and foreign tourists. The service was amazingly outstanding in the restaurant. People treated us very... More

Please do yourself a favour and make a reservation the moment you arrive!! The food is delicious! We had the clams cooked in wine and beef spare ribs - both heavenly! The Sangria was also good value!!

Had seen this restaurant rated in a lot of guide books as one of the best Portuguese ones in Macau. Was not as good as either Fernando's in Coloane or Mariazinha. Was rather crowded and seemed a bit of a tourist trap with little ambience. Food was Ok, house wine was a bit indifferent. Lacked family feel of Fernando's and... More

My family and I have always been coming here whether it be a simple family meal or a special occassion and we never get tired of this charming place! Not only has the food always been excellent but also the warm ambience and friendly service is why we love coming back. For starters, try the Octopus salad and if you're... More

The location of the restaurant cannot easily get there (as there is no hotel shuttle bus services nearby) so to save time and stuff I took a cab from Sands, it cost approximately HK$50, but on the return trip i went to discover/explore and catch a local public transportation, bus (#10) for the return cost and that was HK$3/person. As... More

The food is very mediocre and not fresh. The clams came out 1 minute after ordering them and was very Asia style in a coriander broth. It tasty ok but nothing special. The grilled sardines were not fresh at all, very "fishy" and hadn't been cleaned properly. Beef croquettes were inedible. Tasted like they had been in the freezer for... More

A Lorcha was a great meal. There is nothing fancy or pretentious about it. Just a simple family restaurant with great food and generous portions. If this place were near me in the US, not only would I go there often, but I'd be telling all my friends to try it.
