A well known place where both locals and tourists recommend as the go to place in Macau. Though it may lack in ambience and design it still has a warm family feel to it. The food is above par, rustic and great flavours in some of the dishes. Depending on what time of the day you go the place could... More

No Macau visit is complete without dinner at Fernando's. The bread must be the best available anywhere in Asia. Sea Bream delicious as was the barbecued chicken and cod fish cakes. The only disappointment on this occasion was the chorizo which is usually first rate. Unique atmosphere and pleasant service. Back next time without a doubt.

Been to this restaurant for few times ... As a foreigner to Macau, I will bring my family or friends to Fernando as I would like them to try out the best Portuguese food. MUST order the shrimp and I like it so much! It goes really well with the bread that provided... There is a mini garden attached together... More

The restaurant was quite traditional and popular. But there was no air-conditioning. It would be a bit hot if you go there in summer. They served very big bread which was quite hard. The suckling pig was ok and only slightly seasoned. The grilled sardines was nice. The most delicious was actually the potato chips at the bottom.

One of the must go place whenever I visit Macau. Nice and friendly owner and staff. Grab a cab from downtown about $120MOP ($15USD) will get you there in 15 mins. Food is nice and cheap. They also have a back yard for drinks and relaxation. Getting back to town is a hassle if you can't find a cab, no... More

I have visited Fernando's Restaurant for more than 10 years. It was an outstanding restaurant. As no reservation was allowed, you might need to wait for 2 hours during holidays and weekend. If you don't want to wait for a table, you better arrive there at about 6:00 p.m. for dinner during weekdays. If you leave the restaurant before 8:00... More

It was 10 years after I last went to Fernando's and it still hasnt changed. They have touched it up slightly, but still feels untouched. Service was good and attentive but relaxed. We had the Tomato and Onion salad, drunken steak, grilled fish and the spicy prawns. All the food was good, and washed down with a jug of sangria.... More

Recently re-visited Macau after a gap of 13 years. The city has changed a lot, with all the casinos, but Fernando's is as good as ever. I disagree with reviewers who say it has gone down. The Portuguese and Macanese food is just as tasty as before. The prices are competitive, especially compared to Macau, and the service is just... More

I went to Fernando yesterday and I must say it is the best restaurant I've ever been to, also, the highlight of my trip. The atmosphere is very nice, cozy with a beautiful backyard near Hac Sa beach. The Cantonese-speaking Portuguese boss is also very nice, friendly and cool, so are people working there. Really top-notch service. The food is... More

Enjoyed the food, especially the garlic prawns and bean stew. No a/c but well ventilated, so even lunch in August was not bad. Nice rustic location in south Coloane, away from the city. Will definitely go back (though only with people who don't mind the heat). Easy walk from Grand Coloane Resort.
