Wow, there is a lot to say about this place. My girlfriend Laura and I were biking on the island when it started pouring rain. We pulled over to the side of the road and happened to see that Tiki Grove was in front of...us. We decided to stop for one drink to wait out the rain. As soon as we walked through the door, we sat at the bar and met the owner, Tommy. While we ordered a drink he told us about his incredible vision for an authentic tiki bar with amazing tacos. His inspiration comes from the first original tiki bar of the world, Smugglers Cove in San Francisco. And wow, the drinks are fantastic. We had the best rum style drinks of our life along with fantastic tacos. We tried the jerk chicken tacos and the fish tacos, both which were wonderful. If you like a spice kick, try the jerk tacos. Along with the tacos we also had house made potstickers with chili soy sauce which were great. Every drink we had was strong and well mixed, which is a rarity to find on the island. Tommy made our experience one of a kind, spending time talking to us throughout the evening. Fun music played from speakers and old time movies such as Elvis Presley specials were on the TV at the bar, perfectly matching the style of the restaurant. Try the shark bait, Mai tai, and if available, the cocktail permanent vacation. We will come back again before our stay finishes on the island. Do not miss this spot! First good experience on Gili T was probably my favourite taco experience ever! Happy Hour half Price Tacos! I love tacos and the BBQ JERK CHICKEN was to die for, service was amazing and being our first time in the island the owners care and...spent 10mins writing down things to do and even offered to help us get back to Lombok so we don’t miss our flight. These guys are awesome and it reflects in the restaurant. From the moment we got there until we left the vibe was awesome everyone was friendly and the music was perfect! Hands down the best Mexican cuisine on the island. Tommy the owner and his wife made my friends and I feel welcomed our very first visit, we’ve officially become regulars. We found this hidden gem less than a week ago and have visited four times...since. Their food lacks nothing and consistently meets all of our high expectations being from North America. Their taco portions are filling whether you choose the soft shell or hard corn tortilla shells. You get two massive hard shells or three soft flour tortillas depending on your craving. I’ve tried all of the tacos and enjoyed all, my favourite is the “pulled bbq chicken” (so juicy). The bbq pulled chicken ones are below in my photo of the three tacos. I’ve tried a couple of their appetizers as a shareable around the table and have also really enjoyed them. Lastly, the ambiance of the place is beautiful especially at night when they light their tiki torches placed all around the garden. Had a lovely meal here this evening. I had the jerk chicken tacos and the Mrs had Mexican chilling tacos, all washed down with a pain killer cocktail!! All very good. Staff very attentive and friendly. Would eat here again.

Amazing taste and the portions for the price are amazing and can't be beat on the island. Hands down my favorite restaurant on the island
