Fab fish

If you want decent fish cooked perfectly then this is the place for you. All the fish is marked up at cost not cost per kilo so you know what you are paying. I had flounder which was three individual fish plus a lovely yogurt dip, potatoes and gherkin for 20 euros. Staff were really nice and helpful and sitting outside you are on the moat of the castle- a super spot to have dinner A must go to restaurant

Delicious fish and skilful service

A really very tasty fish restaurant with very good skilful service (many good restaurants in Estonia have employed unskilled teenagers and youngsters). The starters are very tasty (especially the award-winning white fish). The wines were also excellent.

Best Restaurant in Town with Great Views

Great service, good choice with several catch of the day options to choose from including filleted and whole fish. Cooked perfectly and good drinks to choose from - both beer and wine. Standout dish is an appetizer - The Fish Plate comprising of 8 components, all to die for and accompanied by bread.

Worst service experience ever!

Worst service experience my whole life! Rude, arrogant & unpolite! I booked a table. Arrived a few minutes before. Standing there & waiting for approx 5 minutes, all the waitresses just walk by and no one pays attention. So one table gets free & I just seat myself hoping someone will come to me soon. Meanwhile my husband arrives & we sit & wait.... my husband waves to “our waitress” 3 times and gets a blind eye. After 30 minutes of waiting we decide to eat in other place but just to see how long it will take until someone actually comes to us we decide to keep sitting. The waitress cleans the table next to us & professionally avoids eye contact. So after 1 hour & 10 minutes of waiting we gave up & left. Just a friendly suggestion to the place - PLEASE hire professionals or at least some people who know basics about hospitality servce... I find this experience just super rude and unpolite. I know I never come back again. If you want to be served, go other restaurants, in Ku-Kuu you may never get it.

Lazy service, good food

We had a late lunch with our family. It took over 15 minutes before we got any attention from stuff after entering the restaurant. Place is very beautiful and terrace location beside the moad and castle is unique. Food was very good. Unfortunately there is a lot of to do with the attitude and workmanship with teenager waitresses. No smiles, no welcomes. To ask a bill it took also many minutes.

Evening snack

Restaurant is located near Kuressaare central, by few minutes walking. An wood building close to park. Nice atmosphere and good service, but menu too special for my taste. Restaurant is special with fish dose, zander or whitefish was not still available at this time.

Fish was excellent

Very good atmosphere, right next to the river. Had the opportunity to enjoy the sunset so I would recommend visiting the restaurant in the evening. Service was very good and Sandra was very helpful and made the evening great. If possible then I would take a look what's on the daily menu as they bring in fresh fish every day. We had flounder fish and it was soooo good. The thing with place is that even though it might not be cheapest place it's really worth the money. If you like fish then I this is the place to go in Kuressaare.

Traditional fish dishes but something lacking

The restaurant serves traditionally prepared fish dishes that are well made, but not too special. The restaurant interior is old and nice. The outdoor patio is a bit worn out, but has great views towards the castle. The service staff was inexperienced, but friendly and trying their best.

Come for the fish and enjoy the atmosphere

Located by the moat overlooking the castle is a venue that is difficult to underestimate its appeal. Added to this it is a place that seems to take local ingredients seriously. So a good start. It’s mostly a fish restaurant but does have good dishes for those not so inclined. Soups of borscht and bouillabaisse were although not ‘authentic’ were very tasty and used ingredients that were suited to the Baltics rather than trying to substitute for the Mediterranean or Black Sea, excellent. Main courses of Garfish and duck were outstanding. Wine selection was good, reasonably priced and matched the food options. Finally the dessert was a selection of cakes of which there was something for everyone.

Didn't even get a chance

We went for a lunch and picked up the menus inside and greeted the waitresses. For some reason we didn't get serviced at all even though we waited for 15-20 minutes. Place wasn't crowded and there were many waitresses working, so there wasn't clear explanation why this happened.

Best restaurant in Kuressaare

This place is my total favourite. It is situated just near castle. Sitting outside on a warm evening. Having good time in the sunshine or sunset. Place is known as good fishrestaurant while fish and island are synonymes. Inside it has high ceiling and it makes it so fine place to have for example weddings.

Nice dinner, stunning views

Everytime we are in Kuressaare, we are staying in fabolous Ekesparre Boutique Hotel and because it's only few minutes walk away from this place, we've been in Ku-Kuu several times. This time it was rainy, so we sat inside. But they have great terrace facing that beautiful castle, so you really have stunning views. We took daily catch, which this time was Bass. Fish was tasty and Portuguese Vinho Verde matched that nicely. They also have delicious dessert cakes, so we all were satisfied. Service was little "shaky" at first, but overall everything went well.

Beautiful summer evening

View is best, a castle, and no traffic noise. Food : fresh local, especially fish dishes. Not very cheap, but worth of it. a definite point for dating or just having a nice time with your friends.

a beautiful place on its own

This place is located in the beautiful wooden house overlooking the castle. We were not hungry, but because of the two facts listed above decided to go and have some deserts and drinks there in the evening. Nice verandah, decent drinks and cakes.

Beautiful place just opposite the Kuressaare linn. On the menu was 10 types of day’s fish!! Very friendly service and art exhibition, too.
