We stopped here for lunch after a trek in colomers, on the way to our next destination. We has the menu of the day, with a nice selection to children from. A good deal for 28 euros for two of us.

We been on our way and stopped to have lunch. Felt a bit cheated. They gave us some bread and potatoes chips, which we found only at the end that it's not part of the deal. The owner does not know english so we got 2 beers instead of one, and of course payed.... Annoying....

We had the 18€ menu. The place was empty and they served us pretty fast. It was good. Their Olla Aranesa is very tasty. Salmon was very good as well. Bad music. ;)

After a long morning we decided to make a pit stop in Arties. First restaurant that came up was this one. Though the many negative comments about this place, the 5 of us decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, we should have listened to the trip advisor comments. Nailed it right on. The table behind us (table of 2)... More

The personal service from the lady owner of this restaurant is something you could only wish for when going out to eat. She recommended the best dishes and the best wines, and the quality and standard is extremely high for such a small place, 10 tables inside!

We were dying for a place to have a decent dinner apart from all the heavy tapas/picadillo food found elsewhere. La Sal Gorda is deceiving at first glance but give it a try and you will be pleased. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable (she might have the been the owner) and spoke multiple languages. Its a bit over-priced... More

The owner forges a false and pretentious friendliness with everyone that enters... Beware, because accordind to her, everythin is "muy rico", and her only purpose is to inflate your bill as much as she can.. The hoers d' ouvre are outrageous expensive and very poor...its fair to say the food is good, but you have much better options nearby... As... More

The facts: Although a reasonably priced 3-course menu was posted outside, the amiable hostess/waitress did not offer this to us, so foolishly assuming the menu was not for weekends, we examined the offerings on the expensive menu she handed us. While we were doing this, she opened a bottle of water and poured it into our glasses. At this point,... More

I came to La Sal Gorda with my husband during our holiday in Vielha. We got off to a rocky start when the menus were only in Spanish or Catalan. We received an entry on the house which consisted of a plate that had been described to us by "The Translator" who claimed to speak French. The big ceramic table... More
