Food was delicious and I will come again here when I visit karwar. Fish fry was very nice. Chicken was good too but over priced.

Hotel Amrut is currently renovating and have got a section up and running. While food quality of Amrut is comparable with Swetha Lunch Home, it has everything else that Swetha lacks. The decor, ambience and variety. The place has a better restaurant experience but doesn't score higher in food compared to Swetha. These are two best places to eat at... More

Happen to pass Karwar on our journey from Goa to Mangalore. The hotel was under renovation when we visited. Hence we had to go to the seating arrangement behind the hotel. The food served was good. We had fried queen fish, prawn curry and shells' curry with rice. Absolutely no-frills place. Average ambiance.

We found it a bit hyped. The food was restaurant like whereas we were wanting authentic local cuisine.

Karwar is approximately 86 km away from Goa. It is a quaint little town which is fast developing. Hotel Amrut - though not a swanky fine dining kind of place is worth a visit whenever you are in Karwar. Each dish we tried had a distinctive taste whether it was Fried Calamari, Sukkha Prawns, oysters, clams , masala fish( size... More
