We had lunch at the Salamandas Restaurant, specializing in seafood, at the most upscale resort on Siquijor Island, the Coco Grove Beach Resort. A most pleasant walk past the pool and gardens from the reception area to Salamandas, lead us to the tastefully apppointed open air beach-side restaurant. The decor, with it's arched bridge over a fountain-fed pond, lots of... More

Located right on the beach at Coco Grove Resort overlooking Tubod Marine Sanctuary, great quality food, friendly and efficient staff.

I love the setting of this restaurant - in front of the beach which was very soothing and relaxing for me and my family. Food was great too and, for the ambiance that it offered, the price for me was reasonable. Waiting time was tolerable too. This is a beach resort so no hurry.

I am really disappointed with this restaurant. Location is great, nice setting by the beach and background music. Staff were friendly and sat us down at a table with a view. Lighting is very poor I had to use the iPhone torch to read the menu, the lady also brought out a candle. We ordered garlic bread to start. It... More

I'm starting this review with the total cost of the dinner we had in this restaurant: Php 1,610 for 3 people. For the record, it was the most expensive we've had in our entire five-day trip to Apo Island-Dumaguete-Siquijor. And for it to be not the best dining experience is kinda heartbreaking. The food wasn't bad at all, but we... More

Even though its Sunday with only about few customers, it took about 90mins for our order to arrive - crispy kangkong, sinigang at sizzling sisig.they shouldn't say it will only take 30 mins or just offered complimentary nuts or bread while we wait

OK, let it be known, I am only rating the restaurant here. My GF and I were motorcycling by here and decided to stop for lunch. First, let me say, the ambiance and presentation of the overall hotel is very nice: seems cushy and well-taken care of, at least on the surface. And the beachside restaurant is very nice, with... I stopped in at Salamandas for a quick lunch during a day of diving. The restaurant has been built to a high standard with a full open air concept that gives every table a stunning view & sea breezes. There is a very good menu selection that is complimented by a daily special board. I chose the mahi mahi special... More

Salamandas is a bit expensive and unfortunately does not have any air con (spite the fan, and open doors, it gets warm and a bit sweaty!). However, the food was tasty, and fresh! we had the pan seared Mahi mahi (with wine glazed potatoes and garlic tomato creame) - it was yummy! The place is very nice but the food was not great. It was served within 10 minutes. The chicken was dry and cold served. Although the tasted was good but we never didn't tried for a second time. The staff was very friendly.
