Ricardo is the owner and seems to always be there. Speaks English, not pushy, ALWAYS friendly & helpful. It's ON the sand. Have been numerous times. Everything made fresh. Guacamole is always excellent, I usually order Fish on a Stick which is cooked in an...interesting way that you can watch on the beach. Great ceviche & margaritas also. Los Mangos is the restaurant closest to the open beach. There is another restaurant attached to the other side and I think some people mix them up. I cannot imagine that Ricardo ever cheated anyone in his life as an old review mentions. He's a Boca native. You can also get official Water Taxi tickets from Ricardo at the official price to go to Las Animas or Yelapa. It's a must for me to spend time ON the sand here, Never disappointed !! Great for afternoons, lunch, early dinner & snacks. Closes around sunset, definitely not a late night spot.More

When we arrived in Boca, we were immediately surrounded by guys wanting to take us to Las Animas. The "captain" we were introduced to was about 13 years old. We decided to walk down to the beach and met Alonso in front of Los Mangos....He was reassuring and gave us a better price for the boat ride. Alex, the Captain was also professional and gave us a nice little tour on our was to Las Animas. Alex came back to get us as promised at 3 pm. His boat was in good shape and he gave us a great ride.More

We absolutely loved our experience here! After getting into Villa Lala just around 6pm, we wanted to grab a quick bite to eat, and so we headed down into the little village of Boca. We were immediately greeted by a friendly waiter who informed us...the kitchen of Las Mangos was closed (we arrived just after 6pm, and they stop food at 6pm) - yet we could still order food and it would come from the kitchen next door. Not a problem! He pulled up a table and chairs for us, right at the edge of the water on the beach. We ordered beers, fresh fish tacos and coconut shrimp. It was delicious, fresh and exactly what we were expecting. Throughout the dinner our waiter Rueben was so friendly, and explained about the boat tours he could give, and we had such a great time hanging out on the beach, we ended up booking a tour with him the next day. He picked us up right from our hotel dock and took us on an amazing day of adventure - visiting a handful of local spots from Los Arcos to Colomitos. All in all a great evening, and we were thrilled to make the connection with Rueben! All that being said, I think people may head here expecting it to be more like the city, but do keep in mind it is a quiet fishing village - and we had an excellent experience. There are dogs on the beach, and many local kids playing in the water and men fishing. If you want to experience PV more like a local, this is the spot to come! Tip * it is CASH ONLY (they will take US dollars as well)More

First of all venders give me greeps but here it happened very polite way. Restaurant itself is a normal Beach restaurant. The food and service made it the 5 star place. We had shrimps in garlic butter and mexican stile. Both perfectly and stylishly executed....Taste perfect. Service surprisingly elegant and effective. And Last, Best Margaritas in two weeks. If you go to Boca visit this restaurant and I believe you Will be happy.More

Go in with no expectations except good service, cold beers and a beautiful view. Chuy was so helpful and the owner Antonio hooked us up with a wonderful boat drive for the day who was awesome! (Oscar) Such friendly people, ignore the merchants and the...dogs and you’ll have a fabulous timeMore

Nothing special here, but it’s what’s in town. Our waiter was very down to earth and personable, not pushy. The food is small town average, but still acceptable. It was relaxing watching the water taxis come and go. The prices were not sky high ($.75...for bottle of water) so we couldn’t complain.More

We've eaten at Los Mangos every other morning since arriving in PV. Alonso is always waiting with a smile, taking us to what he's now helped deem "our table." The food is simple, but very authentic, and absolutely delicious. The staff is small, but knowledgeable....Happy to help in anyway and consistently upbeat and so very pleasant. Los Mangos is our go to for local eating in a quiet pueblo. You can't beat the 5 step walk into the ocean either!More

Quaint, rustic beach restaurant. Cold beer and typical beach bar food at a great price. We have stopped here while waiting for the water taxi to Ocean Grill. (Still not comfortable with bus transportation from PVR to Boca, but getting better.) Arrived 2 1/2 hours...early, without having breakfast, so we ordered up smoked marlin tostadas to take the edge off. Very good along with a breakfast Pacifico.More

Carlos flagged me down on the beach to eat in the restaurant. While my food was fine, my bill was ridiculously inflated to the point of thievery. If you go here, check your bill thoroughly and ask the price for any drink that is not...listed on the menu before you order. I made the mistake of asking for a margarita and was charged double what the other restaurants on the beachfront charge. Then he added close to another $100 MXN on my bill for no reason at all. There was no apology at his attempts to try and steal from me, just a return of the overage with a shrug. Save yourself some anger and go to Mi Ranchito at the opposite end of the beach where nice and honest people will treat you with decency.More

Sadly on our visit the beer was flat and not cold. Worse the ceviche tostada and the fish filet plate were not edible, we only ate the guacamole. Waiter was very friendly and helpful.

While there are 3 beach front restaurants to choose from, we ended up at Los Mangos because the server picked us as we walked down the road. Service was great! We had our pick of tables and when we said we wanted lounge chairs, they...magically appeared. We ordered garlic shrimp, which were great. Every beer we ordered was served cold and the fries were fresh. Great spot to spend the day.More

Los Mangos is a great beachside restaurant in this pueblo. The staff are the best. They will do anything they can to make your day. The food is excellent Mexican cuisine. Alonso is a great waiter...knows everybody and can help you to arrange other activities...such as water taxi or boats for fishing, etc...but all the waiters are friendly and attentive.More

Every morning we met Ricardo at the beach setting up the tables and chairs for the day. He was our favorite waiter there because he was always very welcoming and kind. There are several beach restaurants that are all very good but we liked this...one the best. Paul enjoyed shrimp quesadillas and we shared a huge dish of guacamole with fresh salsa and chips. Vegetarian options are limited but I could always count on the cheese quesadillas ( quesadillas naturale).More

Lovely spot on the beach under the palapa shade with ocean breezes. Lobster plate was two small and delicious spiny lobsters. Extra ice was brought before our drinks even needed it. Nice! My shrimp and octopus cocktail was as good as I've had. It's not...like at home, folks. No catchup sauce. This is served slightly warm in a large goblet with clear broth and topped with avocado. Great leisurely lunch.More
