We were staying a couple of days in gargnano and had decided to go to the restaurant on the basis of the reviews we'd seen on trip advisor. We were not disappointed!!!! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was exceptional - I'd particularly recommend the prawn and lemon risotto - it was delicious!!!

Good home cooked Italian food, friendly service and nice presentation in a charming family run restaurant by the sea in a stone vaulted sort of tunnel. Would recommend to anyone in the area to give it a try. It is very small so it's best to make reservations.

Our Hotel recommended the San Martino Restaurant. Look for the 3 geese sign on the building. It was a good choice. The young owner is charming and eager to please. Quality of the food was very good, the prices reasonable.

Some of the best, if not THE best food we had during our stay in Italy. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation, it just meant we were inside rather than in the cobbled archway outside which we were a bit sad about until we saw the inside is beautifully decorated, modern and interesting. And such friendly... More

We saw the reviews on Tripadvisor and decided to give this place a go. It was amazing! We arrived and were given one of only three unreserved tables, a sure sign we were in the right place! The narrow hidden corridor exterior made for a memorable atmosphere, as did the delightful complimentary welcome amuse bouche sent by the chef! A... More

We sat in the outside area. There was a very good menu, more of a varied menu than other restaurants near by. The price was good and service exellent. Very enjoyable.

We wandered up just before they opened and interupted the staff preparing for the evening. When I said that I wanted to make a reservation for later the same evening they were very helpful and friendly. When we returned for our meal, we were delighted to find that they had reserved the best table for us, right on the water's... More

Good restaurant run by charming family that serves well prepared food and reasonably priced wines including the local Lugano wine in half bottles. Portions are generous. A table outside is in the covered alley along side the restaurant down to the lake which does not really provide views of the lake but actually has a nice ambience. Certainly worth pencilling...
