The restaurant is located in a fantastic position that you can have a breathtaking view from the Garda Lake. The food is very tasteful and it's a pet friendly place. The owner and the workers there are very friendly and polite making the atmosphere very...nice. I recomend a visit at least once if not more to enjoy this great restaurant.More

We stayed at Villa Sostaga for two nights at the end of August. For my comments on the hotel, please see the separate review. The Ristorante Sostaga could simply take advantage of it’s stunning views over Lago Di Garda and serve mediocre food. It could,...but it most definitely doesn’t! The choice and quality of meals was excellent, whilst the attentive, polite and unobtrusive service was second to none. My partner is vegetarian and there were plenty of options for her. On top of which you have the restaurant’s location. Which makes this one of my new favourite places to both dine and stay. Very highly recommended.More

we hired a private boat to take us around lake Garda and to this restaurant. It really was an amazing experience. The location, the food, the building, the staff... everything was perfect!

We spent 5 days at Villa Sostaga and had all our meals (except one lunch) there. We always found a great option for each meal. Breakfast is great, there is home made bread, variety of fruits, cereals, cheeses, cold cuts, pastries and jams. You can...order all types of espresso drinks and eggs, pancakes, what else do you need? The lunch and dinner menu are quite extensive honoring the italian cuisine with some international daily specials. Each dish is carefully prepared and presented . This is why I honored the cuisine with the "scarpetta" expression: You want to clean your plate with bread to eat the last drop of your dish" The wine list has about 400 different wines and you can have "aperitivos" or a scotch (about 20 different type), Just sit enjoying the lake views, you will never get tired of this. They also have a very nice selections of "grapas". So if you are into food and drinks you should have a great time as we did. Last but not least, the service was also excellent and professional always with a smile and the wish to please you. Not much more to sayMore

We visited this hotel for a 4 day break. Words cannot describe what we thought of this hotel. It is like living in a country house. We had a terrace room overlooking the lake in the main building. The waiters in the restaurant was extremely...friendly and professional. The food an absolute delight. A tip for a special treat for the day after doing Lake Garda is to take a trip to lake Idro.Much quieter ending up buying cheese In a village called Bagolini. The hotel Views are spectacular. We took advantage of the walks that are recommended on three of the days. One of the best short breaks we have ever had in one of the best hotels .We will be backMore

Found this little gem on Tripadvisor whilst looking for somewhere to eat that wasn’t too far from where we were staying. It was a very interesting drive with with narrow windey roads leading up to the top of the mountain, but, that made it all...the more exciting ! The hotel was beautiful and nicely decorated as if it were somebodies home rather than a hotel. The service was excellent and the food was to die for. Probably some of the best food we have ever had. We were here for a special occasion as it was my birthday and it was certainly worth the visit. The portions were of good size and the meat was melt in the mouth, so delicious. The wine we had again was amazing. Everything here was perfect and next time we are in Lake Garda we we certainly be coming here again. Thanks so much for the perfect evening!More

Due to our late arrival at this hotel, we decided to eat in the restaurant that evening, also because the reviews were very favourable. We were assured in advance that although we were mostly vegetarian but ate some fish we would be catered for in...this respect. So we were initially surprised by the lack of choice, no special veggie option, only a spaghetti Napoli and only one starter of spring vegetable broth which in our opinion, was just pesto flavoured water with a few tomatoes and peas thrown in. We chose sesame crusted sea bass for mains but this was tasteless. The grilled vegetables were inedible as the aubergine was undercooked and therefore tough. Also the vegetables served with the main were cold and the potato 'mash' was a tiny spoonful of puree. This is a very expensive restaurant and has a good reputation so this is why were were so disappointed. The meal was returned to the kitchen but did not come back any better. We received no apologies and therefore decided to eat elsewhere for the rest of our stay. I have reviewed the hotel separately.More
