I highly do not recommend! we were eating dinner with the family. we waited almost an hour for our meal. the service was very unpleasant and rude to the question about the waiting time. I hate writing bad reviews but this place was just not worth visiting when we arrived in Kudowa. We arrived and the waitress was very rude, but we were hungry so we sat down to read the menu. The menu is written differently in Polish...than it is in English and Czech, so the descriptions were not 100% right. We made our orders and when we received them, my wife got something that was not what it was described like in the menu. We had to ask the waitress to take it back as the food on that dish was soaked in a lot of vinegar, which my wife cannot eat. This was not what was written on the menu. The waitress decided to argue with my wife for a good ten minutes about the item we were returning. My wife told her she was unable to eat it and the waitress did not agree and told her it was not her fault. This ended with the waitress taking her food back. We thought that was going to be ok and we ate our main courses - my svíčková was not great, I have lived in the Czech Rep and eat this dish probably more than I should have. Terrible sauce and the meat was very cheap and chewy. When the waitress came with the bill, she had of course added the uneaten dish to the bill. She ran off to the kitchen and made us wait 10 more minutes before coming back to see if we were there. We called her over and once again she started to fight with us about the bill. If she had explained that she was unable to do it and offered us something else, or explained that the restaurant was struggling or anything, we'd have paid it all. But she did nothing but argue again and again that we must pay all the bill, incl the uneaten dish we immediately sent back. She must have argued for over 10 minutes and then told us to wait and went back to the kitchen. Then 5 minutes later she brought in a large man who thought he looked menacing and he started to get angry and yell at my wife. Told us we are not welcome there and to get out and never come back. He was doing this in front of around 20 customers who were all feeling uneasy. He threatened my wife over and over again, the waitress even telling him to calm down. Obviously we left and paid for what we ate, of course never to return! Bad food, terrible terrible service and overpriced too. You would be better off if you drove a few minutes down the road to the Czech Republic and eat better authentic food with better service. Avoid this place! There are much better places to eat in Kudowa!More
With no hesitation - best food in Kudowa in my opinion. Food was extremally tasty and for sure would visit the place again. Restaurant is not that cosy, but the food is taking advantage on that. Highly recommended!
It was our first restaurant meal while visiting Kudowa. I have been many times in Czech so I know quite well Czech cuisine. It was not bad but some i ingredients could be better quality, for example pork. Big plus for Czech beer.
We went there with three families to have a dinner. Staff was really helpful to organize tables for all of us. Meals were absolutely delicious and at affordable price. Be sure you taste the beer for the brewery. Kids were also pleased to have food...there.More
I spent 25 minutes inquiring about take away menu. They made me take photos of the menu. Afterwards it took me 15 minutes to write down orders from my family. Afterwards when I called they changed their mind and did not offer take away....
Restauracja Zdrojowa offers a comfortable & pleasant terrace coupled with a broad selection of Czech & local food choices at a very reasonable cost.. Staff is friendly with prompt service and a very relaxed approach thereafter leaving you time to enjoy your food.
Well prepared food for good money. Nice and clean place. Children and dog friendly. Visited on a weekday.
Good place for rainy days, acceptable dishes, draught beer and most importantly large playground place for kids.
Excellent food. Much better czechian food than in Czech republic. Gulasch with knedliki awesome. Definitely to recommend
This place has delicious food if you want to be daring and have an amazing beef tartar or a more traditional meal, you can't go wrong. we just stumbled upon this place as we were staying at down the road. The trend now is to...have toys for the kids which is cute. if the weather is pretty they have large windows that make the place feel like your inside and out. Cute decor as wellMore
Wonderful Hermelin cheese starter. Tasty vegetarian main of pearl barley and mushroom risotto for one and spiced beef stew with dumplings for the meat eater. Local (Czech) wine that was good. Service very good. Best food in Kudowa.
Dreadful service. Wanted to have a drink on New Year’s Eve. We had spoken to the bar staff a few days earlier who said they were open until 12. No mention of reservations. As we came in the barmaid explained that all tables were reserved....Some locals very kindly invited us jo join them at their table as there was plenty of room. At this point the manageress descended on us shrieking like a harridan. We were forced to leave. The customers who invited us to join them asked for their bills and left too. Not a good example of hospitality. Never again.More
The food was really tasty with quite big portions which we could later take home without a problem. Our waitress was also very open and polite.
Although the restaurant looks very classic and a bit outdated at first sight - it's well worth visiting. The staff provides a friendly service - the kitchen offers tasty food for a real fair price. Although the restaurant is located in Poland (about 3 km...from the czech border by car, not even 1 km by bicycle) they offer mostly czech dishes.More
