When visiting Opava to see the cathedral in the town center, I chose to have lunch first. Directed by a merchant nearby, I was able to walk to the mall and Nova Sladovna was right to the right of the entrance. Seated at a high...top, I started with the carrot soup. Very hot, the creamy soup had foam around the edge of the bowl. Peas were in the soup giving solids. Spicy beef goulash stewed in beer with speck dumplings and Vienna onion: tender marinated cubes of beef in a luscious gravy sauce were accompanied by three slices of bread-like dumplings, and sprinkled with fried onions slivers. We went with british friends for trip to Opava. 4 people, we had to apologise for this experience. We had lunch menu, but we were waiting 1 hour, when we asked waiter if its everything ok, he was rude, no sorry at all. Waitress heard...him, came to us, I thought to apologise, but she just asked if we want coffee for free. This is not how you do service. There was 6 guests and us, so not busy, I saw 3 waiters. Food terrible, two pc of potato and tiny piece of fish was joke, very oily, my friend had super dry risotto, we were hungry after that even we bravely ate it. We tried few other places in Opava, far much better, never this one again.More

If you like good food and great crafted beer- this is the place to go in Opava 'coz they have both;) and guess what? The prices are really low! Most recomended restaurant and brewery in Opava.

We did make a stop during our christmas visit of Opava. .. fresh restaurant with their own brewery, cuisine local, service quick and friendly, dishes was nice and what we expect, but the strongest experience was their beer - lager, A.P.A. and dark lager -...delishis.More

Very cosy restaurant with brewery. Just outside the shopping center. Nice place to visit after a visit in the big and modern shopping center.

The beers we tried (all three kinds they had on tap in early June) from this microbrewery were excellent, staff was great and the restaurant very specials and well located.

They brew their own beer, that's most important reason why you should visit. Beer is great, food as well. Go with spare ribs or something lighter like hermelin. Staff is very warm and helpful. And the best thing - you can buy their beer in...PET bottles to go.More
