Food was top class as usual. it was really well presented and packaged and perfectly hot when brought home. The desserts were only to die for. Highly recommended. Big thanks to the excellent staff!

Had dinner here during our stay at ashford castle and what a delight everything from the quaint interior to the professional staff made our visit feel safe and welcoming even with the covid restrictions in place .. I had the seafood platter which for me...was right up there with some of the best platters I've tried around the world in taste and presentation and whole meal very reasonably priced including drinks . Definitely a must visit if you are in this areaMore

Seafood was our desire and here we indulged. Oysters, Hot seafood platter, sole special served with mussels, shrimp in a white wine sauce. You can't go wrong with a sundae and cheese plate foe dessert.

Set in the grounds of Ashford Castle, it oozes cozy atmosphere, with the gentle scent of smoking peat from a smouldering fire. The large cottage building is thatched and has a fishing boat hung from the ceiling. Fine dining which is value for money.

I've eaten in Cullens several times, however its been 8+ years since my last visit. Due to the current CV-19 situation, bookings are essential and sensible distancing is in place. The staff were extremely good, friendly and readily on hand. The food is very good...- the menu is heavily fish orientated and there are chicken & beef dishes. I had peri peri chicken which was succulent, but well cooked. The coleslaw and gem lettuce was nice & simply presented. My guests had the seafood tagliatelle and the prawn linguine - both very good. Dessert of a type of chocolate brownie sundae was rather melted. Wine choice is reasonable, but over-priced - €40 for a wine that costs €10 in an off-licence is a bit much - and that was the cheaper end of the range. I would recommend it as a good place to go if you're just looking to step out of Ashford Castle for a bite.More

Had the good fortune to dine here on a recent visit to the Lodge at Ashford Castle. Restaurant is located within the grounds and is a charming thatched building which can be reached on foot from both Lodge and Castle. There is a complimentary shuttle...to bring guests to/ from the restaurant if needed. We ate a selection of meat/ fish dishes for both starter/ main all of which were superb. In particular the ribeye steak and hake which we had for main course was certainly the best food we ate on our week long staycation in the West of Ireland. We chose a delicious white wine produced by the hotel owners in their native South Africa which was a great accompaniment to our meal ( Bouchard Finlayson Walker Bay Sauvignon). Service was excellent throughout and social distancing etc were very evident in the restaurant. Well worth a visit if staying in Ashford. Will certainly return.More

The fish on the menu is freshly caught and varies from day to day. Local salmon from Lake Corrib is a treat, when available.
