Real Greek food on a cosmopolitan island. Lovely location right by the waterfront with views to Turkey. One of the best tavernas we tried. Good friendly service from the hard-working waiters. Went there twice and would go again.
I was a regular here when I went to Kos in 2011 and 2013 so imagine my delight when it was still there Sept 2019! Manos was and has always been very welcoming, the menu has changed little but the food is of the same...gorgeous quality. The view hasn't changed: blue sea and blue sky. We used their sunbeds free of charge but enjoyed the freshest Greek salad ever tasted every day. Cannot recommend this place for a drink, lunch or dinner enough and we will be back there next September! Enjoy xMore
This is a family run restaurant that has been run by the same family for many years but this seems to have given the manager the right to be aggressive and cocky with customers.
The manager is the son of the founder but he took...great trouble to rush over to us and tell us off as we were about to put down a piece of food for a starving cat.
He came up with a ridiculous story about a party of 12 people who walked out of the restaurant as their daughter didn't like cats and was shouting "that cat is evil", and he didn't want this to happen again!
When we queried this reason he got annoyed and agitated - citing customers with allergies who would give him a bad review because of our trying to give the poor cat a piece of food. A ridiculous and totally unnecessary attitude which spoilt the rest of our evening as we felt intimidated by him.
We have travelled to many countries to many restaurants over many years, but we have never been to one that banned the occasional feeding of stray cats - especially in such a bizarre and aggressive manner.
I was in Psalidi mid September with my daughter and went here for dinner here twice. Lovely setting with tables right on the beach (very popular with couples)as well as inside. The menu has a good range of food and the stand out dishes for...me were the grilled squid and the seafood souvlaki. Nice touch when you ask for your bill and you get either a small portion of chocolate cake or fresh melon. Service is good although the restaurant can get very busy. Definitely worth a visit and not overly expensive.More
Dropped by here as we weren’t in the mood to cook ourselves. Ordered a selection of starters/appetizers. The Tzatziki was quite sharp with garlics but nonetheless tasty. The Mussels in Garlic were very disappointing - but chewy & boring.
However, the waiter Manos was just...great! His enthusiasm for his guests & his job is truly exceptional!More
We visited for a week at the end of August / beginning of September. We are here 4 times! It has the most gorgeous views and best sunsets.
The food was really tasty and reasonably priced. I can recommend the Seafood Slouvaki.
Manos was an...amazing waiter who was so welcoming and always had a smile.
I advise a visit to this lovely restaurant.More
