Newly renovated, absolutely stunning! I love everything about this restaurant, starting with the view, the new decor, the visually appealing and delicious plates, the friendly and expert service to the excellent wine selection. For what they offer, prices are very reasonable....the freshest ingredients from seafood to vegetables to desserts. Truly an experience to be savored!

Incredible lunch

A little way from our resort we ventured up for lunch one day and it was well worth the trip. The prawns grilled to perfection, the grilled red porgy (a fish we selected at the fresh fish counter) was a delight and we chose to accompany it with a tasty taramas and a salad. There is an extensive wine menu so we sought help from the waiter who we told what we like and how much we wanted to pay. He hit the nail of the head with his selection, it was perfect. Would highly recommend a visit here.

I would like to point out that we made a reservation before we go there, as there are a lot of families and couples who like this restaurant and especially during weekends. I went to “Marina” with a good friend of mine, after swimming for many hours. The place was very clean, the view was beautiful and the staff was very polite and professional. We ordered a lot of seafood like lobster pasta 🦞, shrimps with butter 🦐, velouté soup with shrimps 🍤, sea urchin caviar, a salad of seaweeds (which was amazingly good) and a nice risotto with mushrooms 🍄. The whole experience was awesome, the food was beyond delicious and overall a wholesome dinner. The prices were decent in regards to quality and to competitors. We payed 222€ for all this, with the lobster pasta 🦞 being the most expensive meal at 132€, which was a personal preference of mine. If you love seafood, “Marina” is the perfect place for you. I’ll be sure to come back to it!

Good fish and sea food. We found the grouper and the fried calamari very good. The scallops and grilled calamari were nice served but were a bit tasteless. For the starters the taste was below the average (they look better than they taste) and they were overpriced. The service was not good. The starters were served after the main courses and the grouper was served at the very end after we had all finished our dinner. Bad price-performance ratio. For that range of prices, I would also expect for a much more polite staff, which wasn't the case. The person responsible for reservations was very impolite.

Great food but unfortunately the service is terrible. We have been 2 times and every time they had issues regarding our orders. First time we waited 15 minutes to get the menus and the waiter who was taking our order was like every time in a hurry and wanting to get rid of us. After that while they were bringing our meals they forgot to deliver to our table some stuff we ordered. Second time was even worse. We didn’t receive a lot of things we ordered: drinks and food. They also forgot the meal ordered for our children who were very hungry. We discovered that , the same guy from first time, who was in charge with our table, didn’t write a lot of stuff we wanted.

Little scamers!

We visit as family, atbtge entry a waiter wait for as, he ask if we have reservation, we say no, he put us on a table on the toillet road. We received a tomato pasta, olives and oil olives from the house with a bascket of mini-bread. Another waiter witch don't speak english cams wiyh the menu. This restaurant wants to be a fine-dinning one. All the dishes from the meniu don't have weight. We order their famous see food rice, some saganaki which was presented in menu like mussels with cherry and feta. The waiter say to take care because is very spiced which is not. Also we order the fish soup which have 2 big potates pieces and 5 big carrots pieces. The scam is with the bread, they charge 2 euro for pearson. So the bread became one of the most expensive dish in the world. At the exit they have they award from some unknow agency, never heard about that. The place is clean, the service is poor, the food is medium, the place is overated.

Right place to spoil your wife’s birthday

Simply awful. Spoiled evening to celebrate wife’s birthday. Manager lost booking and decided that best way to solve issue is to run away. Finally we got table, but waiters and service - it was really new experience. They paid first visit to our table in 15 min, then demonstrated excellent ninja skill to disappear. We thought that we are the only unlucky, but nope - tables around were also fighting to get their attention. The restaurant was crowded with waiters, but looks like organisation is so poor that you have to catch any running nearby your table and plea to invite your waiter. Food… Well, its just simple seafood, nothing special, no gastronomic adventure or discovery you would recommend. Want to spoil your event? Then its right place to go.

disgusting attitude!

visited this restaurant twice in September 2022. and both times the attitude of the staff is disgusting, they meet you with a smile, everything is fine, and then when you do not place an order higher than 300€, the attitude immediately changes. when we were asked if we would drink, we answered no, we were driving. the waiter had such an expression on his face, such as beggars came) and the check was simply thrown to us like dogs on the table. at what the bill was 200€ for 4 people! for one small roll of bread you will be billed for 2€. And the food isn't tasty either. a seafood restaurant, and there was a bunch of everything on the menu! had to choose from what was. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and definitely won't go again.

This restaurant I’ve loved visiting Greece since 2010 has made it worse every time I went. Last time I was in a super-chaotic atmosphere, there were waitstaffers craving customers and acting as if they invented their own fish restaurant. The food would never be worth the money, but in the name of being marginal, it was inflated and tasteless. A property I hope never visits will be back in the old days.

Disappointing

I had received positive reference from a friend, but the experience was frustrating. Staff were not polite. Although there was nobody in the restaurant it was not possible to be seated next to a window. The Greek salad was excellent, but instead of the 400 grams fresh grilled calamari ordered a very very minor portion (max 200 gram) was served. When asked staff initially claimed it is 400 gram, but subsequently said they will adjust the bill and finally wrote 350gram. Never again a Marina Nea Potidea!!!!

Fathers Day Delight

Went on Father’s Day as a present to myself, away from the kids and wanted to spoil myself. Arrived at approx. 2pm to a very busy restaurant with social distancing and face mask applied. Managed to magically get a table overlooking the beach area (amazing view). Orders Tuna Ceviche with lime and chili and smoked eggplant starters, both amazing but the Ceviche was totally outstanding. The had the Prawn Orzo as main course, this was also great, all washed down with a local Chardonnay lovely day, amazing view simply great food.

Fantastic experience

We love, love, love this restaurant...it is always a gastronomic experience, replete with sea to table freshness, perfectly coordinated flavors, excellent wines, attentive and friendly service. Whenever we are in Greece we make sure to eat here as often as possible. Truly a Michelin star experience at a fraction of the price.

Beautiful place, especially if you see the sea. Lots of people and hustle and bustle. It was not the first time we went, but we expected better service. The fennel slice never came even though he told us twice that the grill was full and it was the next one. The barley too salty , the tuna fry is complicated. The prices are good, the wine list is good, the tsipouro king that was on the list, they didn't have it. We probably won't go again

Short and unpleasant experience!!

My friend and I saw this place and thought ‘oh how cute we should grab a drink here’.. we walked in asked if we could have a drink and they said of course and sat us down. Then when a waiter came to take our drink order he got very aggressive with us because we weren’t gonna order any food and left. He came back again with the aggressiveness and said ‘this is a food restaurant’, which we understand that’s why we asked first if it was okay not to order food, he then got even more upset and asked who told us that that was okay and then made a scene and left again. We got up because we felt unwanted and we got horrible service so we told him to cancel our order and he didn’t even look at us just waved us off. So overall very weird and uncomfortable experience, we would give 0 stars if that was an option. Pretentious staff and overall horrible vibes, do not waste your money and good mood at that place!

Food you need to try!

Our whole family - included our 8yr old son - are foodies. We chose vacation based on great food experience. We travel from local markets and taverns to 3* Michelin restaurants. We explore hidden gems, and we love to explore new tastes... When we first visited Marina we were blown away - mostly by appetizers. And we believe they are worth tasting... During our short stay in Greece, we went back and did it again! Food is just amazing! We could not resist to try it again. And when we are back in the area, for sure we will not forget to stop by. Beside amazing food, everything else works here: ambient is cozy with the view to remember, impeccable design, great service, kind staff,... All together a wonderful and memorable experience.
