If you like typical, basic Greek food, this is your place. The food is good, service is fast. Good value for money. Go early or very late to get a table.

I think the title says it all. We had seen this attractive looking restaurant and looked at a very varied menu the day before. So decided to go. I usually consult trip advisor first but didn’t. My husband was in the WC and we had...not yet ordered when the waiter without comment came sweeping over with a small olive dish (5) and a bread basket (4 slices) and then left. Naturally, I assumed this was part of the meal. When we actually ordered, it was the lamb stew and a bottle of water (tap water on Mykonos is non potable). This stew doesn’t deserve the bad rap it has gotten. First of all, lamb is a fatty meat folks. This was cooked until falling apart good. Potatoes, carrots, and feta cheese were mixed in, sauce was slightly lemony and had several seasons, and it was a good sized portion. I started reading TA reviews while eating and that’s how I found out that we would be charged for the bread and olives we hadn’t ordered and would not have spent four Euros for. When I looked on the menu I didn’t even find a listing for it. The service was the least friendly we encountered on Mykonos but the waiters were also not very fluent in English. The whole unordered bread charge was petty dishonesty that ruined the experience and I can’t recommend.More

I love Nikos taverna it’s the most authentic and unpretentious Greek taverna in Mykonos town with the hardest working and best waiters serving up delicious home-style Greek cuisine. Kostas, Demetri, Ari, Elias and the guys are genuinely friendly and run non-stop taking care of the...huge number of tables which during peak hour can be quite challenging yet entertaining and part of the experience.More

The waiter was really rude when we sat, directly had a weird vibe like we were not welcomed here. Then he brought us dry bread that they charged 4 euros after without asking first. When I finally have to pay the bill, he swore to...us in greek because apparently we did not consume enough. This is the only bad experience I had in Greece and I do not recommend to eat here, prefer the restaurants on the seaside where the service is better.More

Food was pretty average which is a shame as this place has a great location and lots of tables which are always full which I’m assuming is why the food is average purely because they are cooking for so many. Personally I won’t be back...as there are better places but we had an okay meal. Waiters are very busy so hard to get anyones attention if you want anything.More

Had grilled octopus, which was not fresh overcooked and hard to chew. Service was non existant, even the restaurant was almost empty at lunch.

Terrible time here… we were sucked in by the fact it was busy and had a big plot; we assumed that meant it was a good bet! No real attention from waiters, it all seemed a bit chaotic! We had mixed souvlaki and lamb kleftiko…....They were so disappointing! Lamb dish came in a foil tray in a bowl- meat is grey, veg is boiled to within an inch of its life, no seasoning…. Makes me sad to recall it 😂 Souvlaki had undercooked chicken, very small rice/chips to accompany and not bread or Tzatzki (despite asking) Save your money and go elsewhere; it’s a classic judge a book by its cover scenario!More

They have brought us olive and dry bread which we didn’t order and thinking it’s complimentary but they added €4 in to the bill. We have ordered chicken fillet just came with a few chips and no salad no no sauce. since we are in...Greece I wanted to try Kleftiko , it was served in foil and looked like a baby food and wasn’t good at all , I have had better one even back at home. There are other places with smiler prices to eat!More

It is a very crowded place. IF you are lucky and early to go there you can have a seat :) The mezes were excellent. Kalamari was delicious. The Greek salad was so fresh and nice. I am addicted to their olives. Prices were reasonable...for Mykonos. We enjoyed our dinner here.More

Beautiful Greek taverna tucked off the main front. Always very busy but the staff were friendly & polite. Mykonos has a huge turn over of cruise ship passengers so certainly lots of people pass through. We are here 3 times while we stayed in a...local hotel & loved the food & atmosphere. It had the best tzatziki I’ve ever had as well as other Greek specialities. Loads of choice tooMore
