To celebrate my wife’s birthday we tried Barbarossa. It didn’t start well as we were the only people there so there was zero ambiance. It got worse as the head waiter told us there was no Prosecco (even though we’d had it in pretty much...every other restaurant on the island this week). After taking our order he then pretty much ignored us preferring instead to chat to 3 bikini clad girls in the hot tub. To be fair the food wasn’t bad. A starter of prawns was tasty and my wife’s sea bass was lovely. My fillet steak was supposed to be medium but was well done. By the time I’d managed to get the waiters attention he actually agreed with me but didn’t offer a new one or any discount All in all extremely disappointing for a supposed 5* hotel/restaurant. Why open for guests if you can’t really be bothered to treat them well?? Plenty of restaurants better than this oneMore

We had a lovely meal here and stayed at the hotel. Great service too! Highly recommend for anyone staying on the island.

Having stayed at Tharroe, we had to try Barbarossa! What a wonderful surprise that was. The Chef really knows what he is doing and this was the best sea bass I have eaten. The waiters were very helpful too, and with their guidance we picked...a great white wine that paired well with the fish.More

We ate at the restaurant during our stay at the hotel and I must say, we were made to feel at home there thanks to the ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC service. We normally have dinner late and usually go for a light meal as most restaurant are...normally closing after 9 30. My wife and I decided to go check the restaurant at the hotel to see if we could grab something quick and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly waiter who informed us that we can still take our time an order. We had the octopus for starter and that octopus was very soft and tender. For the mains I would strongly recommend going for the catch of the day. The fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was really on another level. We were greeted by the wonderful owner, Mrs Olga who made us feel at home. It’s definitely a place where we will be coming back again very soon.More

We dinned in this lovely restaurant every night during our seven night stay at the hotel, we do not normally dine in the same restaurant whilst on holiday but looking at the reviews before we traveled we are so glad we book half board. The...food was excellent, the menu had been very well thought out using quality fresh ingredients. The staff within the restaurant and bar area are a massive asset to both the restaurant and hotel, they were engaging, friendly and very helpful. Lets talk sunsets, now if you are looking for the best place to watch the sunset whilst enjoying excellent food and service then there really is no place like this restaurant. You really must book a table and see what i mean it was the best sunset ever. Every member of the team deserves a big thank you from the owner as we found them to be among the best we have experienced during our travels around the globe. If you are on the Island dont think about it book a table and enjoy the whole experience. We will be back.More

We recently got married and a friend recommended this place to us. Just from their photos our expectations were high; the presentation of their lunch and view looking over the ocean was spectacular! So we decided to try lunch to catch the sunset and BOY...were we in for a treat! The service was so professional! The restaurant opens up to an amazing, breezy view that was extremely relaxing. Naturally my wife and I choose different options from the menu so that we can both try each other’s food, but it was so hard to choose, everything looked so delicious! I ended up choosing the salmon with sesame crust and my wife got the beef fillet. We started with the colourful chicken salad. Our waiter Phillip, was extremely friendly and helpful. He kept us hydrated and informed on how soon our meal was ready. The starters were very satisfying and our mains came spot on the moment of the sunset! It was like a fairytale as we shared jokes and smiles over our meal. The salmon was remarkably fresh and flavorful and my wife’s beef was very well prepared! We will definitely be back! The Barbarossa restaurant quickly made it to one of our favourite moments in Mykonos!More

We had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant last month. It was an amazing experience in terms of food quality, service and atmosphere. We went for a 3 course meal as we heard the best for the new chef of the restaurant. It was...worth it! For the starter we had the octopus with the fava. One of the softest octopus we have tried. The lobster is strongly recommended for the main dish, as it offers a unique flavor especially when combined with a white wine that the waitress suggested to us. Our main was then followed by one of the best desserts we ever had, the banofee. It will certainly engage your senses! A strongly suggested restaurant in Mykonos! We are definitely going back again.:)More

We came to this place following a friend's recommendation which did not disappoint! The seafood was so tasty and fresh, we went for the lobster and the fish of the day option which I would certainly recommend. Coupled with the sunset and sea views, it...made for the perfect meal. Dined here twice when we stayed at this hotel. The food and the service are top notch. The menu is not extensive, but it offers variety and quality. Strongly recommend the Club House sandwich for lunch. The only thing better than the dinning experience was...the spectacular views. This is a great location to dine and watch the sunset.More

We were a big table (16pax) and the service was great and fast. You can eat the fish that was in the fisherman's net in morning time. A little bit pricey but totally Worth it. You can go there easily

Part of the Tharroe hotel, gorgeous hilltop spot fairly secluded from the noise and bustle of the town but accessible and with some spectacular views. Very reasonable competitive prices and delicious food - we had the eggplant and feta starter, greek salad (many times) and...salmon - all lovely.More
