We managed to find this place after reading the reviews and even though we were early out of season we had to wait for a table. There are not many tables and I can see how in busy times it would be a long wait. The food was good and tasty and the prices about average for Mykonos.

Not much for ambiance or people watching. Kind of dark inside but the food is traditional home cooking so if you're looking for a change or something really casual and not fancy, this is a nice choice. I had the special, pork slow cooked in greens. Delicious.

We had to wait for a table at this bustling place so the owner gave us a free glass of water while we were waiting and made us a cracking mojito! The food was delicious and lovely waiting staff with a fun atmosphere. Try to get a table out on the street (they make 2 extra outside tables when the... More

We really wanted to like this place as it was recommended by a local friend and it also has good reviews. To be fair, I think we were a little unlucky in that what we ordered just didn't suit us - I had a pork dish with a little too much cumin in for me (I'm not a big fan)... More

My husband and I enjoyed our meal here at To Maereio. We sat outside in the street, so were able to people-watch while enjoying our meal. We enjoyed everything we ordered, and saw many locals stopping by for a bite as well. I would definitely recommend trying out this little gem in Mykonos Town!

We actually had two dinners here because our first experience was so wonderful. Lena the waitress was wonderful. The food was amazing. Great atmosphere, too. Obviously I would return again and again!

To Maereio is tucked away down one of Mykonos' tiny little alleyways but he search was worth it. The tiny restaurant oozes warmth and friendliness. They don't do sea food - the fayre here is all traditional Greek meat and vegetable based with lovely sauces; subtle tastes and simple choices prepared in an open kitchen in view of diners. I... A very good taverna with just a few tables. You will not enjoy neither sea view (it's in the middle of the old Hora), nor sea food (the menu is based on local dishes, dominated by vegetables and meat). Excellent starters, the most typical of Greek cuisine like fava, mostra, tatziki. And tasty main courses, like the pork with mustard... More
