Real good place fresh meat we hand gyros chicken fresh potatoes homme made mousaka all excellend thank you
Wandering around through the beautiful small lanes and streets (apart from the annoying Mini-Trucks) we became a bit hungry. We didn't wanna loose too much time sitting down and eat, so we headed into this place to grab some Souvlaki. It's a busy place, so...the meat is always grilled fresh. Chose some pork and chicken souvlaki. Both tasted very good, nice grilled flavour, meat quality very good. Both - pork and chicken - very tender. Nicely spiced as well. Easy, quick and cheap. A good choice.More
I'm shocked this place has so many positive reviews and people calling this trash "authentic Greek food.". This place was awful - I can only conclude these reviews were written by clueless cruisers that got off their ship and ate here because it was the...first place they saw. Pita bread out of a bag (not homemade) and dry, flavorless meat. We had the souvlaki platter and it was bland, boring, with little to no flavour. To top it off, the service was terrible and the staff were unfriendly/rude.More
We ate here pork and chicken gyros and it was really tasty. The portions are small, but it worth it. Thank you!!
Friendly staff, nice and autentic small place. The chicken gyros plate was very good!! We will back!
We had the best chicken gyros and they only cost €3!! The staff were very friendly, prompt and they tasted delicious!
I have no idea why others here would rate this anywhere close to 5 stars for food. Other than the excellent location with great people watching, that’s pretty much all the place has to offer. This was my 2nd visit on this trip, and will...be my last - forever! If you want the same, quick gyro meat - walk 7 steps over to Jimmy’s who’s flavor is better (and price about the same). At least they don’t rush you out and smile thanking you for your business. The older manager (owner?) here at O Pontos walks around shifting people from their tables so they can constantly move people in/out of here. Don’t come here if you’re looking to take your time. I mean, I get their trying to move tables to make more money. I guess you have to when your food is mediocre (at best) and you charge 10-15€ for dishes that are rushed out just as fast as they expect you to eat and leave your table. So-to-say, nothing is fresh. Even the espresso comes from the same Nespresso machine I have at home I can make for 2.50€ less than this place charges. At least at Jimmy’s they toast pita bread in front of you so you know it’s at least warm when served to you - and how hard is it to serve fries warm?? That should be easy...but expect cold fries when your plate arrives, along with barely warmed (at all?) pita bread. As you can tell, I’m a fan of Jimmy’s. I’ve come to Jimmy’s for many years with trips to Mykonos, always feel appreciated for my business and never been been disappointed with food. Cannot say the same for O Pontos. Staff follow managements style and it’s reflected in how the staff react with you, rushing you out as fast as possible, with the manager (owner?) watching over every move they make. I would never work here...assuming the staff is family to put up with that guy. By all means, don’t waste your limited chances to eat great food (or waste your money) in Mykonos with O Pontos’ lackluster food, bad management and rushed service.More
We are here 3 times for lunch on our 2 week holiday in Mykonos. The Gyros were always piping hot, fresh & well cooked. So tasty and really good value too at €4 each. Pork and Chicken were both really good, but the Pork was...my favourite.More
All we asked for was the chips on the side of the gyros... that’s all... and suddenly it was the hardest thing in the world to do. We stuck it out and picked out the three measly chips to eat a very average offering made...with no love. Better places are to be had!More
The old guy that welcomed us was extremely rude. He was aggressive and took the menus from our hands. Insisted we sit before we looked at them. Not recommended.
The food was lovely and really satisfying however, as numerous other users pointed out the staff is EXTREMELY rude and the menus are really tacky. That said, I was not too bothered about the price of the gyros, I was expecting worse, but some of...the other items on the menu did not look worth the price.More
I have never written a bad review but this place deserves a 0/5 rating. The server and owner were extremely rude talking down to tourists and very racist. He said that we don’t work hard because we get to go on vacation. It was so...disrespectful and degrading when we said something they kicked us out. Never go here.More
Hands down the best food, service and eating experience in all of Mykonos. My friend and I stayed In Mykonos for four days and ate here every day it was that good. The staff are so friendly and provide great recommendations. The food quality is...by far the best for any Gyros, probably best I've ever had. The prices are fair and absolutely worth it. If there's a wait for a table it's worth it.More
this place has different prices for locals and for foreign tourists...3.5E a gyros for locals 5E for foreign tourists...slow service and rude staff
