We stopped at the bar attached to this restaurant a couple of times enjoying some excellent cocktails in lovely surroundings so we decided to give the restaurant a go. We booked for 7.30 and arrived bang on time taking our cocktails with us. It took about 10 mins for our order to be taken - bruschetta starter with mains to follow. The starters took an age with other tables receiving both starters and main courses in the meantime. After 50 mins we had still not received the starter and we’re making to leave when the head waiter, a tall slim man with glasses, arrived carrying the bruschetta. I returned to my seat but told him we were unhappy with the delay. He shrugged his shoulders and laughed at us, we pointed out that bruschetta does not take that long but he didn’t care a bit, not even a hint of an apology.
The main courses arrived within 15 mins of finishing the starter and to be fair the food was very tasty - just a shame about the service and the attitude of the head waiter - not a nice man.
Needless to say, no tip was left!

We are there twice while staying HB at BDD but then had to stop because the items seemed on repeat across too many menus within the same resort. The portions were immense which meant lots of food went to waste unfinished. The fajitas need more spice, and the portion could have served two. The tiramisu was lovely but enormous and overly alcoholic (especially by comparison to the version served at Trattoria). The pumpkin ravioli was nice but too aldente for the Norwegian lobster sauce that didn’t aid any further cooking heat. Service was excellent though, couldn’t fault it.

We went early (6.45 pm) and had no booking, but we’re shown to a table in the courtyard, so no views but that was fine as the restaurant itself is very nice in a rustic sort of style.
We were attended to quite quickly as it was fairly quiet, both our meals (fish) were very nice. By the time we’d finished our main course, the restaurant had filled up and we noticed a marked drop in service - a table of 4 next to us had to repeatedly ask for their drinks and food. We noticed one other table of 4 gave up altogether and left when nobody had come to their table at all.
Our waiter asked if we’d like dessert and we said yes but he didn’t come back and we decided to just end the meal so eventually managed to flag someone for the bill. He came with the card machine, but got distracted by a large family table next to us and left us with the machine! We printed our own receipt (we did pay) and left without anyone even noticing.
They either need to employ more staff or remove some tables.
Having said that, we enjoyed the food but I’d advise you to go before 8pm if you like prompt service.

Chose this restaurant for our last night on holiday. What a disappointment. This is not an independent restaurant, it is a restaurant affiliated with a hotel, there are 2 prices on the menu one for hotel guests and one for walk ins. The service started well, but slowly declined as the evening went on/ as the restaurant got busier. Except for serving the food, no staff came up to us throughout the meal to ask if everything was ok. The food ranged from ok to dreadful. Don’t bother with the garlic king prawns for starters, expensive and disappointing. There are better places to eat, and the €180 bill for 3 adults and 2 children was definitely not worth it.

Avoid!!!
We had the worst experience at this ‘restaurant’ this evening. First point that needs to be made really clear.. this is not an independent restaurant. It is a restaurant affiliated with the Bahia del duque hotel. This is in no way made clear to non hotel guests. This meant that the service was something like you would see in an all inclusive buffet dining restaurant.. rushed and zero ambiance. I only found out that the restaurant was part of the hotel as the menus had two price columns noted and when I asked what this mean I was told that one of the columns was for hotel guest.
The service was the worst service I have ever experienced. Despite the fact that I would love to speak fluent spanish I unfortunately can’t and the waitress who was servicing us kept speaking to us in Spanish. When I said I am very sorry but I cannot understand you, she continued to speak in Spanish which made me feel extremely awkward throughout the meal as I felt under pressure to really try and explain what I mean for simple things like needing water. Except for serving the food, no staff came up to us throughout the meal to ask if we needed anything else.
The food, again was the worst food I’ve eaten in a long time. The €24 salmon ‘filet’ was the length of my baby finger. The ‘mash potato’ was similar to what you would get with powdered mash product.
When our starters came to the table the waitress firstly set it on the wrong table but when she served at the correct table she didn’t even ask who’s meal was whos and just set it in a general area on the table.
To try and summarise, please please please avoid this place at all cost. The food and service is absolutely appalling and I wish I had read the reviews prior to going as we would have saved ourselves €150.

Second time to this restaurant and it will be our last.
We had dined at this restaurant a couple of yours ago and it was very poor then but we thought we would try agin - I really wish we hadn’t.
My wife and I had a dinner reservation and to be fair we were seated on time.
I believe that all customers are asked if they are staying at The Del Duque hotel, which is the parent hotel of this particular restaurant, I am not sure if this would have made any difference however to the dreadful service.
We were actually staying at The Grand el Mirador which absolutely does know how to treat its customers.
When our food arrived mine was the wrong dish altogether and I had to wait, while my wife ate her dinner, for my chosen dish to arrive.
I had chosen grilled octopus and when it arrived some of it was so tough it neither be cut by a steak knife nor chewed / eaten.
There just NEVER seems to be sufficient staff to service the tables and this possibly goes someway to explain the slipshod service.
We regularly use the adjacent public bar which is also serviced by the same staff, which may also help explain the difficulty of placing a drinks order there and then the inordinately long wait for beverages at the table.
Others may have had better experiences than we have had however I would suggest looking farther afield for dinner

Dreadful service. We are staying in the El Mirador hotel next door. We asked if we could come for lunch the following day and the reply was that lunchtime was walk-in. So we planned our lunchtime to visit this restaurant. Arrived at 13.15 and we waited and waited at the front desk. A queue was building behind us with a number of highly frustrated customers. Eventually a member of staff decided to service the reception desk of the restaurant and we were told to return at 2 pm as we were not guests of t The restaurant was virtually empty and it was now 13.30pm. I recalled the conversation which I had with his colleague 24 hours previous and he was not interested and just kept on saying to return at 2 pm. The laughable bit of all of this is that the restaurant was virtually empty and had been for all of the 10 days that we passed. Not surprising, we were not prepared to hang around for 30 minutes. Shall never return to this restaurant as their are so many more alternatives in the area such as Acanto or Les Torres del Mirador.

It’s a shame because we came here last year and we really enjoyed it, however this year wow. We witnessed 4/5 different guests complain about the food, service and waiting time.
Sadly we had to complain as we waited almost an hour for our food, our drinks came after that (which we had to remind the waiter for) had to remind the staff to have a baby chair after 10/15 mins standing waiting for one and then again had to ask for the bill 5 times, we knew it would take that long we asked for it when ordering our dessert and STILL had to wait after we finished.
Food came cold and asked to be taken of the bill which at first the waitress laughed at my partner for asking.
Overall would give this a 1/5 but it’s clearly a management issue, not enough staff or trained staff at best.

Even when trying to book a table face to face (cannot book online) the staff just ignored us. When one finally came over he said “you need to see someone else”. That was another long wait. The starters were very good but we booked here thinking it was a Mexican but the only main course that was Mexican was fajitas. The quality of the main course was not good and one meal was a chicken escalope that was so bland and greasy that we only had one mouthful. No-one asked if there was a problem with the food and just cleared the table without saying a word.
If we go back to Costa Adeje in the next few years I cannot believe this restaurant will still be there if they cannot change the attitude of the staff and improve the quality of the food.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. We were welcomed by very pleasant staff. The service was quite slow and then the wine waiter came up to help us with the wine choices. It was very strange, my husband asked him for a recommendation from about 8 wines, he then recommended one that was not on the list and twice the price. When my husband then decided to choose our wine the waiter pretended that he couldn't read the one on the list, and then sent out a completely different one. The manager was called and things progressed smoothly after that. The food was good and there was plenty of it but I probably wouldn't return to this restaurant as there as so many lovely places to eat and with lovely staff.

Location actually quite nice. Staff uninterested sloppy and rude. The food is just about the price - performance, but cannot be recommended (tough fillet, bad spaghetti). Basically a very loud and hectic mood, screaming and running around children, a few steps away you meet very nice cozy restaurants.

Tried this place one night, we both ordered Veal Milanese, stringy, tasteless, with a mass of greasy batter, just couldn't eat it, after the waiter came over & asked how the meal was, he looked at the uneaten food & said “oh” I give you a free dessert which was no better.
We thought this was just a one off so we tried again 2 days later, this was even worse my wife ordered Asparagus soup this arrived with 3 small bits of asparagus in a bowl & a jug of warm broth to pour over it! the next course was supposed to be spaghetti with strips of bacon, this was bland with no sauce or flavour, just spaghetti bacon & grated cheese. I ordered chicken this arrived with half an over cooked chicken with one sliced potato all tasteless. After signing for the food I really felt as if I had been mugged, so the next day I complained to the hotel management who removed the cost of the food with lots of apologies. One other point after arriving at 7.30 we waited until 8.55 pm for the main course.

Should have paid attention to the reviews other posted about slow service, because we unfortunately had the same experience of extremely slow, and poor service. We made a booking for right when the restaurant opened mid-week but this did not make a difference. Our waiter only came to our table once to take our order, didn't even come back to open the water that needs a bottle opener or even check in with us at all. We had to chase other wait staff to get any further attention at all. Our son who is a toddler did get his meal relatively quickly, but we waited about an hour longer for our mains to come out and he was losing his patience at that point. Our meals only came out after chasing up a couple of times as well on where they were at. We ordered very simple meals as well that should not have taken such a ridiculously long time to prepare and get out to our table. Based on how slow, and poor the service was would not go back but the food was fine/average if you are willing to wait all evening for it to get to your table.

We sat down and ordered drinks, which came very quickly it then took a further 30 mins for someone to take our food order. The starter came 30 mins later we then sat for a further 45 minutes STILL no food. Spoke with the staff who were apologetic and said there was a problem with the kitchen. However this did not appear to affect any other diners. Unfortunately having now waited just over 2 hours we took the decision to try out luck and get our main course elsewhere. For all we know our main is still out there somewhere!!!! Service MUST be better.
