So far nearly all Trip advisor recommended restaurant's are excellent. This place is no different. From the outside it looks like a very small restaurant but inside it grows into a very homely Spanish restaurant. We were served by a lovely girl from Poland, really...sorry I did not get her name, all of her recommendations were perfect. The shared tomatoes in oregano were very tasty. The mixed fish to share were cooked perfectly and were divine to eat. We asked for dry recommended wine and a local wine called YAIZA was served. It was that good we brough a bottle home. Thankyou for a classic evening, I highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back soon.More
Just ate here this evening. The food was excellent and the people here are even more so, very friendly and welcoming. (I lost my sunglasses and they went out of their way to help me find them.) My husband enjoyed the mixed fish platter and...the octopus in red mojo was to die for. Next time we're in Lanzarote we'll definitely be back here.More
This place is definitely worth a try The amount of UK expats using the place is the clue A simple menu food is cooked fresh Good portions all served with a friendly smile A good pint of Spanish beer too The place does get busy...so worth booking Give it a try you won’t be disappointedMore
Lovely atmosphere. Great food - garlic prawns, paella & desserts were superb. Staff looked after us really well. Worth the effort to find this place.
Stumbled across this restaurant while on our way to the old town from our accommodation. Every time we passed it seemed busy. We booked a Friday evening & again was quite busy. Nice little authentic Spanish tapas place. Good honest tasty food, staff very pleasant....Would call it a hidden gem.More
La chalana....a Spanish jewel. This is a must do in any visit to lanzarote. I am not a fish eater...(theu have options) but I had the best meal I've ever had in Spain here ... as a solo traveller sometimes places serve you the worst...this...place have me their very best. The meal was that good, I asked for some bread...to mop up...couldn't understand why it was taking so long....they were baking the roll! The Steak with garlic was beautiful and tender along with rice and a beautiful sauce (see the mopping up with bread order for explanation) Great food, great service. Hope to be back soonMore
Thank you for a beautiful meal, superbly cooked,we had goats cheese and tomato starter, and seafood paella.I can still taste the lovely flavours.Kasia was an amazing host.
We stayed in Lanzarote for one week and were fortunate to have some wonderful meals around Puerto de Carmen (La Cascada excellent, Everest excellent, Vino + very good, Confradia de Pescadores good) but this restaurant in the old harbour was the star of the show,...so much so that we visited 3 times. We were very well looked after by Kasia who was welcoming, warm and patient, and explained all the dishes to us in depth. The restaurant was frequented by both locals and tourists (who had done their homework). Food was sublime - fresh authentic local produce and dishes cooked to perfection by the owner. We particularly enjoyed the goat stew, tomato and garlic salad, Gambas al ajillo, and pescado al caprichio (breaded fish in mushroom and prawn sauce). Mojo verde and roco were superb. Prices were very competitive- lower than surrounding venues. This is a must go to destination if you want to taste the real flavours of Lanzarote prepared by people who care about their customers.More
Initially gave this Spanish restaurant 4 stars based on our first visit. However having visited again last night I think 5 stars is warranted. The food is very high quality. We have tried the goat stew, grilled prawns and the mixed grilled fish. All very...good We had a bottle of house white and it was great The service is excellent and the prices very reasonable given portion size and quality. RecommendMore
We had a mixed grilled fish platter for two and it was very good. Location is nice and service was attentive. I have celiac disease and the waitress could recommend suitable dishes for me, they also have an awesome gluten-free white chocolate mousse. Great price...for quality. Recommended!More
This restaurant is off the beaten track but we'll worth a visit. I was looking forward to my usual grilled prawns but unfortunately it wasn't on the menu. I was going to have the garlic prawn starter and fish with mushroom sauce and prawns. Cashia,...the waitress suggested that one course might be enough and she will was right. The breaded fish was delicious-4 fillets!! This was served with chips and rice. You need to book in advance-it was very busy for a Wednesday night. The meal with a nice glass of house white came to €16. The shot on the house is a nice touch. A great restaurant well worth a visit, lovely staff, friendly service.More
Hailed as one of the better seafood restaurants in the area we were always going to land here at some point and tonight was it. Lovely typical Spanish styled ambiance with a nautical theme, we were settled into our reserved table early and our friendly...server looked after us extremely well all night. We were tempted to go for three starters as it is labelled as starters/Tapas but again our server advised us that two was loads, and it was. We shared starters of grilled octopus and mixed croquettes of chicken and seafood. Truly magnificent. We opted for seafood paella as our main for two and it didn't disappoint. Very generous portion heaped with all manner of molluscs. Would recommend.More
Typical Spanish style fish restauraunt- had an authentic feel to it. We shared a mixed paella, which is one of the best I’ve tried and the canarian potatoes as a starter with a range of different sauces. If looking for a less touristy traditional place...to have dinner would definitely reccomend! One slight thing was the service was very slow but that was probably because they were understaffed. Reccomend Booking!More
Had a gorgeous tapas lunch here recently. Fried cheese, papas, prawns in garlic, deep fried baby squid, and another I can't recall. All adequate portions and delicious.
