Came here about 8 years ago and enjoyed a lovely selection of fish tapas. This time went for steak and red wine, there were 3 of us and 2 meals were brilliant, steak with mushroom sauce. But the there was a simply steak which should have been medium rare (the other 2 were rare and perfect) but it was in... More

Quick service, great communication, lots of food for the price. We ate here twice on our holiday as it was perfect for what we were after.

full English good coffee prompt service & good value. It was a bit breezy on the corner but the friendly staff helped us move to a sheltered Spot. So nice we returned a couple of days later

Stopped here to get a cool drink and a bit of shade and ended up buying the English breakfast. Very nice it was too although I'm not sure why most of these restaurants think chips are a traditional part of the meal. The staff were really pleasant.

Very busy restaurant which is always a good sign. We ate here on out second night and couldn't rate it high enough. Great service (couple of niggles with forgetting our drinks but got sorted immediately). Food was excellent; outstanding pizza and one of the best t-bones I have ever eaten. Ate again on our fourth night and the meat kebab... More

Regardless of the other lunchtime venues we try, we still gravitate back to the Ancla at some time during our holiday. The menu is fairly standard, but the location and the staff are superb. Spend an hour or two there one lunchtime, enjoy people watching, tapas and sangria!

El Ancla is a traditional Canarian bar/restaurant located in the harbour square in the old part of Puerto Del Carmen. serving traditional Canarian tapas at excellent prices. A wide variety of tapas( and an A la Carte menu) is on offer and the selection changes from day to day. Good for lunch, snacks, dinner or just a swift drink.
