On a fine spring day, with a whopping 20 degrees, both terraces were closed. Inside, there was not any air conditioning, resulting in a loud, stuffy, unpleasant atmosphere. The doors were not even open, which hinted at the general carelessness of the place. The staff...was neither obliging nor pleasant, which added to the daunting conditions present. The restaurant was packed on Saturday evening. The friendly waitress asked if I could make it in about an hour as she had a reservation for the last table available, a high table with barstools in a corner with view on the bar. I had...the beef broth to start with. It was one of the better beef broths I have had so far. Strong taste, plenty of beef: exactly the way I want it. Then I had the pork schnitzel as a main. The potato salad was really light and fresh. Not the habitual heavy mayo thing. Schnitzel was excellent. Tender pork and crispy outside. Even the coffee turned out to be good. All waiting staff was very friendly and service went really quick. I had the luck of observing the bar staff for an hour. They’re always busy. Never a moment that they wait for something to happen. I certainly come back here next time I’m in Pisek.More

Very good food exept the childern menu chicken strips that didn't realy tasted good. But beef burger i ordered was excelent.

Back in 1919 we were there at first and dinner was great.But last week they have not daily menu on 1pm.So we tried other food,but it was really poor for lots of money.It was Ball Tip steak-not tasty,sauce with hliva nothing special,they write mushroom on...menu so taste was different.Im sure,next I will find other restaurant.Second food nothing special too.Only bezova limonade was tasty.Bye forever...More

A new city and your hotel gives you a recommendation for a meal. Wow, did they ever! Kozlovna U Plechandy is one of the best I've eaten at. We ordered the meat platter and it delivered.Sat on the outside with a view of the Pisek...Stone Bridge and the river. Their drink menu is just as good. It was a warm evening and we stayed longer than most, but it was worth every second. You must try!More

Good steak. No English but friendly service. People use this place as a bar (it looked) so gets loud. Not suitable for romantic/quiet evening but food was better than expected.

Wonderfully located on the river next to an ancient stone bridge (inspiration for the famous Charles Bridge in Prague) the food here is excellent both in quality value for money and size... on top of that they have 28 rums on the menu including Australian...Bundaberg, Zacapa 23 and Don Papa... and at prices I could not believe....
