Really grate place. I felt like in medieval inn. Amazing experience. Maybe not the cheapest place, but worth any crown. Next time when I'll be in Pisek I'll visit this place again.

Very nice hosts dressed in appropriate clothing from the time that they represent. Great beer, great mead and very good and delicious food! Awesome experience, would definitely go back

I took my wife to a dinner out of sheer curiosity and my oh my this place rocks! The interior looks wonderful and you will instantly feel like dining on a crossroads in between towns hundreds of years and even party of sell-swords storming in...would not surprise you. Besides of the top notch setup the innkeeper will fill your belly to its maximum capacity to be sure, since all the items from menu which we have tested were delicious to the extend that I had to order an extra corn on top of all leftovers I had to devour after my wife. Even the pricing was reasonable, I kinda expected to pay little extra for the niche but the final bill was even lower than the one from the night before from restaurant near the old bridge. It was all together so gr8 we had to go back the next day as well. Definitely make sure to drop by if you happen to be around even if it is just for the Yeast beer. PS: I would attach pictures but we have agreed to stash our phones and not pull them out while in there in order to preserve the vibes there).More

It is interesting place to see, inside it is nice but the food was not so good (actually the price was too high for this kind of food)

Kind if "medieval tavern": no electric lighting (only candles), simple wood and stone tables, waiters dressed in according-to-epoch suits. The names of dishes also stand for medieval. Even they ask visitor to stop using gadgets (like mobile film devices for kids), although taking photo is...OK. Reasonable food. The prices may be a little above average (for the region). but still not expensive. Bottom line - nice place, if one goes there, it's better no to be in rush and spend enough time.More

Well, maybe if you dont have a better plan to do with your kids, maybe you d think about that. BUT! If you would like to go there with adult friends, old parents, enjoy a night, or just for a dinner then rather avoid this...place! We had four kinds of food and each of them was the same - same taste, same sauce on it, not grilled at all and etc... Just find some china wok take away around and you shall get much better food for a fraction of the price.More

As a pub, it is a mediocre restaurant in an old looking former brewery hall. But at the evening, there is the highlight of the "krčma" (tavern, pub) - the cultural middle-ages-inspired program, including fire-eater, inquisitor, dancers and musicians. You can receive your menu from...a midget and your meal from a roughly speaking waitress, while you will be look forward to (or be affraid of) being selected to take part in the show. The cuisine is more for the meat-eaters, although you can also order nice wine and tasty pie. The show is in Czech language and you have to pay an entry-fee to visit it. Shows are popular, so maybe make your reservation in advance.More

We stopped here on the way back to Prague from south bohemia. Nice billboards by the road convinced us to try it. The interier looked really cool and medieval, but with only candle light, it was too dim for us, so we sat outside. Threre...were quite a few table ocupied but still we had to wait really long time before on of the waiters (who had passed by several times) decided to come to our table. We ordered our drinks -beer, cola and water. and asked for menu. Again we waited around 10 minutes and the waiter brought us only colas and water, no beer and no menu. So I asked him again for my beer and menu, so we could choose the meals. After waiting another several minutes for the beer or menu we decided to leave and go to a McDonalds not far away. In total we waited 25-30 minutes and didnt even get the menu to choose from... I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.More
