Beautiful location, beautiful garden, lovely olde-worlde inside, polite attentive staff, good atmosphere, great beer, lovely wine. The lamb dish was sublime - I think I can say that it was the tastiest dish I have ever eaten. My partner had the chicken which was delicious too. While we sat in the front beer garden we couldn't think of a better... More

We were at the a cottage today for part of my 40th birthday celebrations. The restaurant setting and building are lovely, very cute inside. But the food was even better. I had a pork belly meal and was so glad I chose it - genuinely the best meal I've eaten out in I don't know how long. Just perfect. Touches... More

This olde worlde pub was spotlessly clean and set in idyllic surroundings. It started off with a wait for our first drinks and when they came the order was wrong. The evening menu was different which i like but my father likes plainer food. if you are looking for pub grub like fish and chips, pie and mash this is not... More

We went for a family Sunday lunch and I have to say it's the best lunch around for miles. The choice is great especially for vegetarians (can double up on veggie starter or have main course). We were made to feel very welcome including our two young children. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. The food... More

I was taken here by my partner for a surprise birthday meal..... And wow what a surprise for us both.... It was fantastic!!!! The staff were really helpful and friendly and we were made to feel really welcome. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. We had the sharing platter as a starter... This was sensational. The mixture of flavours... More

4 of us called in for lunch and we sat outside on a lovely day. There was a long queue to order your food from the bar, and then an hour wait for it to arrive! However the food was worth waiting for - 2 x ham,egg & chips, a ploughman's and fish/chips - they were all delicious. Just don't... More

We enjoyed an excellent meal here whilst on holiday. We came for a coffee at noon and liked the look of this quaint pub in the tiny village of Carey. I had the most amazing cottage chocolate with my coffee, a square of gooey chocolate brownie and the children loved their cookies! So we decided to book for dinner and... More

We had booked which I was pleased about as they were very busy this particular Sunday. Most people sat outside, there was a choice to do that, we preferred inside as is such a lovely setting with exposed beams and fire places. Sardines to start, roast Hereford beef with Yorkies the size I have never seen before. Delicious desserts too.... More

Food was delicious, service was friendly and helpful. Was very welcomed after a bad experience at the New Harp Inn down the road. Would definitely eat here again abs recommend to friends.
