All the seafood on the menu was fried or in creamy sauces. Prices are too high for the poor quality of the food in this restaurant. The only nice thing about this place was the decor...

We dropped in on a weekday for a late lunch. First... The staff was extremely friendly and perfectly willing to speak English. The food was very good. We didn't order anything Fancy. I had Fish & Chips (Fried Cod) and my wife had a lobster roll. The cod was cooked perfectly. Just to the point of being done but nothing... More

On the way to Métis - sur - Mer we stop over at the Capitaine Homard for lunch before proceeding to l'Auberge du Grande Fleuve at Métis sur Mer. After a long drive we like to have beer and a sandwich, coffee and a slice of cheese cake. We like the atmosphere of the place decorated with fishing gear.

We just visited this restaurant and were very happy with the food and service. We sampled the clam chowder and the lobster roll. Nice view on the sea from the restaurant window. Johanne our waitress was wonderful.

Welcoming atmosphere, attentive & pleasant staff - bilingual (French & English). Prompt, courteous service, Had lobster sandwich with a beer...........fresh & delicious. Definitely recommend for a quick stop or a more elaborate meal if you are camping on the premises.

We had a two hour wait from the time we were seated to the time the food arrived. During our wait our server made no contact with us whatsoever. When our dinners finally arrived we got two of the worst lobsters(tasteless and soggy) we have ever tried to eat. They were inedible. The third person in our party had a... More

We were staying in Sainte-Flavie and had been told this restaurant was not to be missed, so we went on our first night. It was not too crowded on the Monday night, and we did not have a reservation. The decor was very busy, lots of fishing nets and other related articles adorn the ceiling, creating a nice atmosphere. I... More

Wonderful atmosphere with all things lobster hanging from everywhere, and a nice view of the water. Service was excellent, food was excellent, price was good too! Great stop on our way around the Gaspe.

6 of us had dinner there. It was 8:30 pm. Not too busy. Steamed Lobster was like warm and "butter" seemed to be oil in a plastic cup with garlic powder. Really? When asked for "butter" out came the chafing dish with real butter maybe mixed with oil but still no real fresh garlic to be seen. My sisters filet... More
